Re: fantom g wav rom compared to fantom x
<t>A new DSP can possibly allow to use better sounding waveform compression/decompression algorithm, also it can allow higher quality interpolation (i.e. if sample root is D, but you're playing note C then DSP has to interpolate the sample so it will have pitch of C, and obviously there are differen...

Artemiy, a correction. Sound engines of LE and MO are not at all stripped down, but are exactly the same as in Triton and Motif ES (Triton LE 88 even has an additional 16MB grand piano not present on "big" Triton)

Re: Ultimate Grand ?
<t>No, Parfisal, each waveform is a multisample consisting of several individual samples assigned do different key zones and you can hear that yourself if you listen carefully (by playing a chromatic scale slowly and listening to tonal differences between adjacent notes you can detect different samp...

Re: another Sonic Cell / SRX board comparison question
I think one of SC pianos is based on same recordings as new piano in Fantom G and RD-700GX, as it is also called "Expressive Grand"

Re: note - people thinking of buying the Sonic Cell
<t>You're probably incorrectly interconnecting unbalanced and balanced equipment (you can find lots of information in Google on how to properly connect unbalanced source to balanced input) or just have a bad cable. Generally, unbalanced outputs shouldn't cause any problems with fairly short (a few m...

Septimo, no one said there won't be a rack version. Normally, no developer releases rack module at the same time as keyboard version, it usually comes in following couple of years.

Re: I played the ARX-02!!
<t>2Jimknopf:<br/> You sure that you tried MrRay73 _MkII_ version and not the old MrRay73 or even older plugin called MrRay? I was very (positively) surprised with it, it's a HUGE leap forward from the other two, and IMHO at least as authentic as Scarbee (but also, more playable and has better tone,...
Re: G Rhodes
Hmm... I don't really like this Rhodes sample from Fantom G. To me it sounds more like FM E-Piano. Maybe it's possible to tweak a real Rhodes to sound like that, but it's definitely not the tone that I prefer.

Re: I played the ARX-02!!
So, is ARX-02 only for Rhodes sounds or it also includes other EPs, like Wurly, RMI, CP-80? Clavinets, maybe? It would be interesting to know how other EPs sound.
By the way, Jimknopf, have you tried MrRay73 MkII? It's a VSTi Rhodes emulation, and to me it's even better than Scarbee.
