have you tried doing a factory reset.
to execute the factory reset press the F5 EXECUTE button.
factory reset is executed
to cancel factory reset press F1 CANCEL button
when reset is completed temporarily appears then the LCD displays to its original state.

Try using a BRB 230 (the UK only) these are available from Roland UK Spares dept.
