Re: Fantom G7 died (sort of) after 3 weeks of use .....

Quinnx: Potential is important but meaningless without it's realization. Most modern synths can be categorized in his manner but very few can claim to reach it's true potential. Inspiration is another thing that I personally look for in a synth. Out of box sounds not only shows the user what a synth...

Re: Fantom G7 died (sort of) after 3 weeks of use .....

<r>I still have my V-Synth <E>:)</E> So, I'll still frequent other section of this forum. In the mean time, I'll keep an eye out for latest upgrades for Fantom because I think it's a great synth with lots of potential. I just hope that Roland make good decisions to allow it to reach it's true potent...

Fantom G7 died (sort of) after 3 weeks of use .....

After 3 weeks of playing around with my F G7, I have to say that "I still love my V-Synth XT and I'm keepin' it". Not comparing G7 with XT .. just making a point that I have nothing against Roland. I believe that they are a quality company with their own strengths and short comings, just a...

Re: TO ALL INDIAN FANTOM-S USER

<t>Bappi,<br/> <br/> It's not that no one realizes what you need. I think we do but we don't have the patches that you're asking for. Not everyone makes Desi music and ones who do, they are not too picky about the patches that they use to create it or they learn to program their synths. I agree, goo...

Re: TO ALL INDIAN FANTOM-S USER

Bappi, My friend, I hate to put this so directly but the patches you're asking for, are not being used by many people therefore WE DON'T HAVE THEM . Secondly, as much time and effort you have wasted on asking for these patches again and again, you can very easily tweak some existing patches to make ...

Re: TO ALL INDIAN FANTOM-S USER

<t>Shakil,<br/> <br/> Thanks for listening and your encouragement. I'm listening to your stuff right now. I am feeling as if I'm back in Pakistan while listening to your music... a very nice feeling. I like the drum arrangements and the tempo settings, which is just right for this kind of music. Is ...

<t>Bappi,<br/> <br/> Thanks for your patients, as far as downloading and listening to the tunes. It seems to me that you are encountering many logistical issues due to your location and lack of available resources.<br/> <br/> The best advice that I can give you is start working with whatever resourc...

Re: TO ALL INDIAN FANTOM-S USER

Bappi,

Check it out too!!

Specially listen to Taal (very traditional), Migrane Bhangra (Punjabi Beat with electronica fusion), Zindagi, Decaying Soul (done with V-Synth but listen to the Ethnic Alaap Patch half way into the song).

Hope you like them !!

Re: TO ALL INDIAN FANTOM-S USER

Hi Shakil, Thanks for the kind and observant feedback. I am from Pakistan as well, been settled in States for the past 20 years. Yeah, I am a big fan of NFA Khan's music. The man was a genius but left too soon. I have uploaded few more tunes of various genres, including ethnic. (couple of them using...

Re: TO ALL INDIAN FANTOM-S USER

<t>Exactly right Sambasevam,<br/> <br/> I found this odd looking drum machine uploaded by one of the users on NI website and it turned out to be a lot of fun. Needed quite a bit tweaking but came up with some sick grooves and that was the inspiration for this tune.<br/> <br/> Thanks for your feedbac...

Re: My new setup ... what do you think!

<t>Everytime I think about simplifying my setup, some awesome peice of hardware (like V-Synth) is released. I can't help it. I think that I can handle parting from my triton/supernova but I can't let go of my V-Synth and Virus. I agree with you Hugo. <br/> <br/> Folding socks is a big complicated is...

Re: > 2 oscs, filters etc. Am I mad or are Roland!

<r>I agree with you, multi-timbral functionality is NOT very flexible in V-Synth. It is further more limited by the fact that only, Part 1 patch can be edited from V-synth's interface.<br/> <br/> - A work around would be to assign the patches you need to different parts in V-Synth info page and dump...
