Do they change when you're playing a sequence? If so, perhaps you've captured midi commands if you adjusted your volume while recording?

I have resolved the issue but didn't determine the cause. What I did was do a factory reset and then stayed away from assigninging the knobs. Prevoiusly, I had assigned all the knobs and I think I must have gotten things out of sort. So far so good for the last month or so.
