Re: I present the ultimate Live X6!
<t>You are essentially right but I think you're missing some of the subtle but important differences. First off, I go through way too many songs with my different bands to spend a lot of time programming up with RPS. Next, if you've got 150+ songs in your song list, trying to remember all the RPS co...

Re: I present the ultimate Live X6!
<t>Why not midi? First off, external devices mean more gear and a lot more setup. Second, many midi setups are not automated and will not move to the current settings when you switch patches. This can be a real pain if you're trying to make a slight adjustment to a patch you just called up. Furtherm...

Re: I present the ultimate Live X6!
I've been using this board in 2 modes: 1) Each of up to 4 layers in a sound patch are adjustable by each knob. 2) For solo and my accustic duo... Sequenced drums controlled by knob 4, keyboard bass part controlled by knob 3 (meaning I play this part), knobs 1/2 control lead parts either layered or s...

I present the ultimate Live X6!
What do you call an X6 with a built in 4 channel mixer which can be routed to from the internal mixer output assignments? And, what do you call an X6 that you can have individual volume pots for each output assignment? What do you call and X6 that you can adjust performance layers with volume pots? ...

Re: Why does the volume change automatically?
Do they change when you're playing a sequence? If so, perhaps you've captured midi commands if you adjusted your volume while recording?
Can you describe in more detail exactly what you do to reproduce this?

Re: Rebate
Since I believe you were truly due the rebate, you maybe able to get the GC manager to issue you a return and new sales receipt that you can process. I'd give it a 50/50 shot.

Re: Playing a midi file and live keys the same time on fanto
<t>I play 2 different shows each week using live/sequence files. I always use my first 4 channels for my live parts and splits. The other parts are on channels 5-16 as needed. I also have some patterns that I fire off with RPS using the dynamic pads. I always use Live Mode to organize my songs/sets....

Re: volume control...please!!
<t>I do a lot of mid song patch volume changes and I go about it in 2 ways:<br/> 1) Go into mixer mode, select the channel and use the data wheel to adjust. I use this setup in my hip hop band where I am basically a piano/lead player.<br/> <br/> 2) If I have a show with a lot of mixing, I run the pa...

Re: LFO effect on all the time!
I have resolved the issue but didn't determine the cause. What I did was do a factory reset and then stayed away from assigninging the knobs. Prevoiusly, I had assigned all the knobs and I think I must have gotten things out of sort. So far so good for the last month or so.

Re: Recording song in Layer/Split mode
<t>After thinking about what you said, I'm going to take a guess at your issue. You may not realize that your song is associated with 1 layer set up otherwise called a performance. To set up the various instruments for your song, you must assign each instrument to 1 layer in your performance. If you...

Could you explain what you mean by 'change to' something else? Be very specific on the steps you take.

Re: Dynamic Pad Help!!
<t>Well, there's a lot to it and I certainly couldn't answer completely without extensive references and instructions which are more than I'm up for. But, the pads can be configured to fire off drum sounds and rhythms as well as RPS (real time sequencing). This opens a lot of doors because RPS can b...

Re: Mixer Options 4 Hands-On Control
<r>For my live performance control, I use a non-midi approach. I assign the various parts to the 1-4 outputs on the back of the keyboard. Then, I use a small external mixer to mix the parts as needed. I find it a little more straight forward and simple to work on stage. Plus, it took me only about 1...

Re: Playing out- Juno-G or Fantom
<t>I'm a gigging musician that plays in 2 bands. I owned both the JunoG and FantomX - only the X now. I really liked the G a lot, but for live, no comparison - the X takes it. There are so many reasons - some you won't even realize until you have the X. For example, the weight. I was really worried ...
