Is there a MIDI note for the sampling button? or any way to start/stop the sampling feature through MIDI? I'm kinda new to MIDI but I don't see it in the MIDI implementation anywhere.

I had the same problem with my Ultra II 1gb Sandisk card. I got the 2gb version and haven't had any problems since.

I also had problems sampling to the card banks. It sounded scratchy and harsh.

This is a neat work around that seems to address this complaint. Audio no longer stops with loop capture functions. Haven't tried it myself yet

The sp-555 does not have autochop. You can chop samples but you do it by ear. The 606 can do it but has a screen or with the sp606...
