Recording the D-Beam synth?

Hi,

Want to capture the D-Beam synth into Cubase. Is it output via MIDI or is it only a "LIVE" part only?

Warm lead sounds on MC808?

Hi all,

Anyone got any good warm sounding and soft lead sounds they have created or know of for the 808?

Sold my JP8000 and only really miss the GR800 Solo Synth type sounds.

Re: Best way of connecting MC-808 up for MIDI?

Well I connected up this way and it wouldn't work.

I could play from the MK to the MC and record in Cubase but it would not then go back from Cubase to the MC. I assume the MK does not loop information it receives from its MIDI in socket to MIDI out and it has a MIDI thru???

Re: Best way of connecting MC-808 up for MIDI?

<t>Oooh that sounds like it should work. I take it that the MC808 will then accept controller changes from the MK and MC and record them to the Emu?

You're a fountain of knowledge!! :->

I'm tempted to route the MK audio outs to the MC808 audio ins and mix the sound in when I wa...

Re: Mc-303 vs 808

I've upgraded my MC303 to the MC808. I know what the original poster was saying about the crispness but the MC808 just has a more polished sound to it's drum kit.

Can't believe how much heavier the MC303 is in comparison though.

Re: Thinking of upgrading to the MC-808

Well went for the MC808. Very impressed so far with the sound quality and features....so much so the MC303 and JP8000 have gone. The microKorg is now a controller keyboard and hopefully lead sound source!

Re: The MC808's here!!!

Thanks again, Dirk.

Quite impressive for samples then.

I take it I can use the MC808 in the same way via standard MIDI cables only I want it in sync with my Emu 0404USB soundcards MIDI and the microKORG?

Any links to this librarian??

Re: Export patterns/songs out from the MC808?

<t>Wow!

Things have certainly moved on since the MC303 :->

That's kinda exactly what I'd want to do as I quite like editing on Cubase and it would allow me to add parts from the microKORG or JP8000 then. Cool.

Should be here tomorrow. Gonna pack up the MC303 ready fo...

Re: Thinking of upgrading to the MC-808

I've got a SanDisk 1 gig CF Ultra speed(I think) card on the way.

If I keep it (think I will) then I'll defo get the 512 meg SD Ram too.

Expect more questions! :-P
