same problem here. No response from the bottom buttons.
My XT didn't power on for 2 months and I just powered up 20 mins ago.... Bad news.
I even couldn't touch the factory reset button... Sigh....
Do you have any luck ?

I am a Vsynth Xt user and just found a new synth called alchemy. After watching their online demo (movie), I found that it has some very nice features that XT left behind.
The vocal / drum loop mangling is fun to play with. Check it out.

I also bought it with complete piano late last night. The MP3 play back quality is pretty good which I can load a drum loop and jam with it.
Question : do you think that I can set effect for MP3 playback ?
