It has to be done either through sysex or the modified MC909 editor. Try MC909.org for the downloads.

Ooh, that looks wide enough for 2 octaves of mini or full keys with aftertouch, pitch bender and a mod wheel!! A wide ribbon controller would also fit nicely.

Have you tried running the latest converter program ver 2.1 available on the Japan FTP site? Also, you will get best results running the app in Win98 compatibility mode.
