Re: Resampling and converting question, sound quality
I just love to keep people on their toes with words not so commonly used!!
I cant even begin to tell you the fun I had with a friend that was visiting from England!! Up way too late with too much alchohol and defining as many native slang terms as possible!!

Re: Resampling and converting question, sound quality
<t>So now we come to the crux of the matter!! I have said this in the past and will say it again. There is no keyboard in the world with the exception of a fully tricked out Open Labs Neko, that can produce a truely studio quality ready to burn project. Hardware workstation keyboards are great as sc...

Re: Resampling and converting question, sound quality
<r>I think his exported .wav is fine ( please correct me if I am wrong ) other than being low volume. He is using Audacity to normalize the file and then saving the resaulting file as a new .wav file. Some computer motherboards have very nice D/A & A/D converters that can serve just fine.... but...

Re: Transfering/saving samples in Fantom XR
What sampling rate are you using? The Fantom X supports up to 16bit / 44.1 anything higher than that and you will have issues.

<r>If I can make a suggestion..... and I am probably gonna get my Roland card taken away after this blasphemy. You may want to check out the 'Muse Research' Receptor. <br/> I am in the process of working with them on the best solution for my setup and can say it is a whole new game. Check it out and...

Re: Resampling and converting question, sound quality
That would be an issue lol......
he did say he was using Audacity to normalize the file so I am assuming there is a computer being used somewhere in there...and again reincoding the file to .wav and .mp3 (eww) lol. My bad if im wrong!!

Re: Resampling and converting question, sound quality
<r>Indeed this is a very complicated issue. First and foremost, your ears are not lying to you <E>:)</E> . I can see several ways things can go sour in your setup but the one that jumps out at me is the onboard sound on your computer. Luckily I am a computer builder so I will elaborate. <br/> <br/> ...

Re: Downloadable patch website? FantomX
<t>It is the same. When you select a bank for a tone ( 1-4 ) you may only assign parts from that bank to the right and left waves. This means that if you select an EXP wave group in the A slot you will only be able to assign waves from that EXP A group to the right and left. You have 4 tones to sele...
