Re: Juno G - Changing patches via foot switch

<t>Use live mode for this. <br/> <br/> Just set up the sequence of patches/performances in one of the banks. <br/> <br/> Hook up the foot switch to the "control" jack, then somewhere in the main menu, there's a menu that allows you to assign what the footswitch does. What you're most likely after is...

Re: Rumor - Price Increase and Firmware Update

Hm, I've also heard about this price increase from a few different sources.

Not good... it already costs a few hundred more than the competition. Unfortunately, this has effectively bumped the G off my list of prospects.

Re: So, between the flagships...

<r>Jake, thanks for the replies. The cheapskate in me might just cause me to end up with another 61 key workstation :p I thought about it some more, and I struggled to come up with any situations where the extra octave or two of a 73 or 88 key keyboard would actually benefit me. Then again, I might ...

Re: So, between the flagships...

<t>I'll probably never be completely sure about whether or not to go for hammer-action. <br/> <br/> Your opinion is definitely a popular one. I've seen enough polls around on various forums to know that generally weighted keys are preferred over synth action. I'll be sure to try out the 88 key M3 so...

Re: So, between the flagships...

I finally got a chance to try all of them out, so I suppose I'll post my thoughts (personal preference alert! everything following is completely subjective!): The G: I went in expecting to adore it, expecting to curse myself for liking it so much because it costs more than the competition. Strangely...

So, between the flagships...

<t>... which would you suggest, based on the following information?<br/> <br/> I currently have a Juno-G. This forum played quite a role in convincing me to buy it roughly this time last year. But, being a bit of a stripper keyboard, I've obviously found some limitations I'm not too happy with. I kn...

Re: Xa vs. Juno-G: Suggestions for someone new to the synth

<t>Thanks for all the kind words. It's looking like there's nothing left to consider... finally :p<br/> <br/> I tend to research the crap out of these kinds of purchases, because they aren't exactly minor, for me. I'm still a student (with hobbies outside of music) and only have time to work over th...

Re: Xa vs. Juno-G: Suggestions for someone new to the synth

I'm just going to bump this, because I have a few more questions (rather than start a new thread): I've pretty much decided on the Juno-G now. My reasoning? The keybed feels fine to me. It feels solid, quick, but still offers plenty of control... relative to what I'm used to. I did also try out a Fa...

Re: Xa vs. Juno-G: Suggestions for someone new to the synth

<t>Thanks Radek. I guess it'll just be a matter of trying them out. I thought the differences might be a bit more... plentiful. Lightweight and portable is a plus. My amp already weighs about as much as South Africa, so I'd rather not be stuck with perpetual back pain because of a heavy keyboard, as...

Xa vs. Juno-G: Suggestions for someone new to the synth worl

<r>Alright, time for a little background information first:<br/> <br/> I played basic keyboard in my younger days on a Casio CT-670, from when I was 8-ish to 13-ish. My keyboard teacher moved around then, and I grew tired of it. I picked up guitar about a year later, and have played that since. Howe...
