Re: Bye bye Jupiter 80

You need an auditor; why! Show me the patches you are creating... Does the Jupiter allow you to down load a system copy of itself for saving to flash; storing the end file in a folder on the computer. Can you not save the system to flash, recreate all new patches, then save that whole system file. T...

Re: Jupiter 80 Newbie

Im like you! Im not new here! I have a Jupiter 80; been playing in it like in a sandbox for the last week! I was thrown off at first; it took awhile to trust.... After the demise of the Fantom x! Roland was not a company I thrilled to do business with! I find the JP-80 one of the best synths of the ...

Re: SynthTone PWM - aliasing?

Deadlines guys! Its about managers.. Synth techs and music guru's do not run Roland; sociopaths run Roland. Why do think they are still in business. Its a horrible market to be in; I think! the music electronic instrument business! They charge mass money for this product because they must stay afloa...

Re: MOXF vs Roland FA06/08

tweaking is important to me; being spontaneous; blowing randomly through effects and creating the bizarre ~ Programming is a different monster; duller, but has its place I suppose. Im finding; if the board cannot allow me to fool around with perimeters with nobs and tweak n bend sounds, Im waisting ...

Re: Tweakability? @Artemio

As for now! ITs going back to Kraft! I got a deal on a return used... Still going back! No tweak tweak.... Its driving me crazy! Interesting board. I have to have a work station or a v synth; call me lazy! I guess? I think if someone gave me one of these to play around with, I would check it out. Ho...

Re: Bye bye Jupiter 80

No editor; I fully understand. You don't want to get ripped of by the company; its a scary thing to let down your integrity.. Its dangerous and worth moving on unless you know what your doing.. Im not sure yet. I think Im going to end up with one of these without an editor.... latency within the rec...

Fantom G vs Fantom S

I own a Fantom s88. The relationship I have with this board is like no other.. When playing certain piano patches with thick heavy Roland built in reverb and a mic hooked up to the audio inputs, its the most intimate expression I have found... THings come out of me that don't come out when singing i...

Re: juno gi versus gaia SH-01

I still get a work out on the keys, its a different kind of workout. Its more focused.... I would still n...

Re: J80 Price - Ouch!

I felt the same way.. As I was watching a demonstration video of this beast, I noticed the player explaining how marvelous it was that different patches could be finely molded by way of newer technology... Hmm.. I thought that was the cornerstone of synthing started many moons ago.. I realized this ...
