So much time has passed since I had this problem...thanks for answering!

I fixed my issue by changing the whole encoder card. It was not so expansive (something like 30€, if I remember right). It is quite easy to change, no soldering was necessary.

I had the V-synth XT for nearly 7 years now, and I just acquired the GT. I think there IS a difference in sound, mostly FX definition. Especially reverbs which are much better on GT. There 22 FX more, and internal resolution of FX is 32 bits in GT instead of 24 bits on XT. They sound more natural to...

My V-synth XT has a failure with its "Value" encoder. Its action gets weird for an unknow reason (no chock, no moisture, nothing wrong??)

Does anybody has an address where I could order this encoder. I will replace it by myself.

Here in France you can find one for 800€, if there is no VC card with it. It really in pristine shape, up to 1000€.

do you use the USB connection as MIDI? If so, you have to know that the MIDI synchronisation through USB does not work. It is possible only with real midi cables.

Yes, it seems that there is a MIDI CC transmission only when you are in CRTL mode. Though it is a limitation, you can record it into Cubase SX with no problem. And when Cubase sends it back to the V-synth XT, parameters assigned to E1-E8 will follow the automation, whatever patch you select.
