Juno-G

Does anyone think Roland might produce a 88 key version to take advantage of the "88-note multisampled grand piano..." ?... or is the Juno traditionally only produced with 61 keys?

... I suppose time will tell :-)

Re: Fantom Outputs

<t>Thanks very much to the both of you, this is all exactly what I needed to know. I also thought he was trying to fob me off, cos he just couldn't be bothered.... He definately wasn't using the headphone jack, and as a result of what you have said, i will insist on using two leads in the normal way...

Fantom Outputs

<r>Hi all,<br/> <br/> I was wondering if someone might be able to help me with a situation that came up a couple of weeks ago, when i did a small, impromtu gig with my X8. <br/> <br/> I turned up to do a gig and I set up, and handed the sound man my two leads from my Fantom, as usual, to plug into h...

Re: X8 key clicking problem

<t>Thanks for the replies. I haven't been able to test the S/PDIF outputs unfortunatley, but the click is in the headphones and the output A and B ports.... <br/> <br/> When I record using the internal sequencer, the click isn't recorded, so I think it might be a contact/grounding/keybed issue. I'm ...

Re: Behringer mixers.......

<r>I've been using a Behringer SL3242FX-PRO for about a year now, with no problems at all. It's a great live desk. The built-in effects seem good too, although I only use a bit of reverb for the vocals, so haven't really needed the others... I haven't had a problem with noise or anything... My Fanto...

X8 key clicking problem

<t>Hi all, <br/> <br/> I've just been playing my X8, and have noticed a clicking sound has developed on one of my keys. The key is the F (just above middle C). <br/> <br/> When I press it down light to moderately, I can hear a click sound which sounds like a digital click. <br/> <br/> The problem is...

I think pressing the shift button and then 'piano mode' button at the same time is the quickest as far as I know....

Re: Fantom X8 Case....

<t>My X8 fits well into the Gator Case (Gator GK-288R I think). and I've had no problems gigging regularly with it. Mine just goes in the back of a van all the time, so can't vouch for any extensive travelling i.e. planes etc.... <br/> <br/> The straps inside the case are very good, and the wheels c...

Re: Damper Pedal Question

<t>Hi,<br/> <br/> As I understand it, when you first press the pedal down (for example at the beginning of your song), you are sending a midi mssage to tell the fantom to sustain the note. It is a one off event, so if you start your song after that event (ie after the midi message was sent) the fant...

Re: How many members use the Fantom Sequencer?

<t>I find the sequencer really useful. It's an amazingly quick and easy writing tool. It's basic functions are so easy and intuitive to use, that for me it's great in terms of getting idea after idea down and recorded. I haven't ever totally finished a track in the fantom sequencer, as I find the mi...

Re: Good stand?

<r>Hi,<br/> <br/> I use a Quiklok WS-550 with my X8 for home and live use. I find it really sturdy and easy to transport around. For me it's perfect. I'm not a big fan of the X-type stand either. This one just has four legs that fold out, and you simply rest the keyboard on top (it's almost like a t...

Re: Reliability of the Fantom X8 Weighted Keys

<t>Hi Waynester, I've been gigging regularly for about the last 6 months with my X8, with no problems with the keys yet (touch wood). (just the Mainboard/patch-switching problem for me unfortunately) A day never goes past without it getting used, and most stuff I play is fairly light touch stuff, but...

PS

<r>Oops, I just thought.... I have a feeling some people are superstitous with the whole 'good luck' thing, so if you're one of those people, sorry I said that <E>:-?</E> An Irish friend of mine always says 'good luck' after he ends almost all of his conversations, and it must be rubbing off on me.....
