Re: Cakewalk A-800pro controller and Logic 9
Thanks, PauloF, I'm looking forward to your conclusions. I'm looking into using the PCR with Mainstage too.

Re: When will ROLAND release their next Workstation ?
It's like "Piano manufacturer Roland also brings a guitar and some drums". A bit disappointing for a synthesizer brand.

Re: When will ROLAND release their next Workstation ?
I don't see the need for a new workstation in the sense of a keyboard with midi and audio recording capabilities. Every laptop, macbook, iPad has that covered. I really would like to see a new workstation in the sense of a controller + sounds basis for studio and stage. A controller keyboard with la...

Cakewalk A-800pro controller and Logic 9
Hello, I'm wondering if ACT and Logic work together controlling and auto-mapping instruments. Because if it does I'm going to trade my Edirol PCR-800 for a Cakewalk A800-pro. I understand that there are new drivers on the Roland website for logic. And when I install these, ACT shows up as a controll...

Nice new Roland D80
When I forget that it's named Jupiter and try to look at it objectively..... I really like the fact that it has 76 keys! Only for that reason I would buy it, there's too little 76-key synths. And if it has all my Fantom X sound capabilities with VA and a decent rotary organ added it's just what I ne...

Re: USB is MIDI only! (old D70 + Sonic Cell seems nice alter
Are there any more people that would consider a Juno-Stage more seriously if it had a audio-interface (along with the vocoder).

Re: USB is MIDI only! (old D70 + Sonic Cell seems nice alter
<t>But I don't think Roland did design new hardware. As far as I can see they did repackage existing hardware. Then I assume they simply did strip the Audio-USB in the software for marketing and sales reasons. Don't you think? And I think the're wrong with that decision. Not everyone has the money t...

USB is MIDI only! (old D70 + Sonic Cell seems nice alternati
<t>I downloaded the manual and there it is on page 92:<br/> <br/> " Only MIDI data can be transmitted or received via USB. "<br/> <br/> It has the Sonic Cell engine, it has the Mic input, it has a vocoder, it has a USB connector, BUT NO AUDIO OVER USB! <br/> <br/> Please, this could be a great perfo...

Patch with samples load
<t>I wish the Fantom X just loaded the samples used in a specific patch the moment the patch is dialled in. Now I've some (unfinished) songs on a card + some patches that use custom samples. I always have to load everything just to use one patch!<br/> <br/> Is there a workaround?<br/> <br/> For inst...

Re: Home studio with Roland Fantom X8
<r>To be honest. The X8 can do it all, but to some extend. Yes, you can produce a finished song with audiotracks in the X8. But with a 4 minute song, the sequencer and lets say 3 four minute audiotracks running the X user interface will become very sluggish. The audio editing in the X8 is not nearly...

Re: Home studio with Roland Fantom X8
<t>>> 1. It has proper sounds for contemporary Christian rock music? [Examples: Delirious?, Tim Hughes, Michael W. Smith & Hillsong]<br/> <br/> I'm using my X8 a lot in church. Soundwise theres a big difference between Delirious and MW Smith, but both are no problem for the X or G.<br/> <br/> <b...

Re: One more Juno Stage video
<t>And I'm afraid that the USB port being MIDI only is pure a marketing thing. The technology is there, it seems that the Juno shares the electronics from the Sonic Cell. I even think that it isn't a hardware thing and that with a firmware upgrade it could be MIDI + Audio, but I would distract sales...

Re: One more Juno Stage video
Does anybody happen to know if the USB port is a Midi of Midi+Audio interface. I'm afraid that's it's MIDI only. But I stil hope the Juno Stage USB can also double as a audio interface making this a great synth for both performing and songwriting.

Audio interface?
Does the Juno Stage have the same audio interface features as the Sonic Cell? Or in other words, is the USB port on the back MIDI only or MIDI+Audio streaming.
If that's the case it's a very nice keyboard to use with my iBook to play on stage and write songs whereever I am.
