Re: JD-XiMidi Hardware controller
leelou10, You are right about the JD-Xi far more capable of using sysex than Midi CC, but it is also very capable using NRPNs, which it's much easier to find midi controls that support. There's a list on the sight of the Midi NRPNs I had known were identified at the time I posted, there may even be ...

Re: DivingBoard - a DIY hardware MIDI controller I made for the JD-Xi
I'm extremely excited with what you've created here Oliver. I can't wait to have the time to dig in to it, and try to build my own. If there were ever a synth that needs something like this, it's the JD-Xi. I notice that your website is down. I hope that's only temporary. I may have asked you this b...

Re: "Pattern Full", how to delete controller events?
Hi, Erasing Knob and Wheel Movements in a pattern is actually very easy. Sorry I didn't see this since you originally posted it. I'll comment now, so the answer can be found. You may not be able to find the instructions for this because Roland removed the JD-Xi Version 1.10 Supplementary Manual from...

Re: Mapping a MIDI Controller for JD-Xi
Wondering if anyone here (or elsewhere) has made any more progress with these maps? Well, I don't know about the Sysex mapping, but since undocumented NRPNs and Midi CCs cover nearly everything it's probably an easier way to go. Have a look here and at the pdf in one of the next comments. Why Rolan...

Re: JDXi List of MIDI CCs and NRPNs including undocumented
Thanks for responding but I'm still not quite sure I understand.
If it's based on how many keys you are pressing, then what are you really changing with the setting? I'll have to experiment I guess.

Re: JDXi List of MIDI CCs and NRPNs including undocumented
Regarding this "unison" setting for the digital engine, can anyone explain this to me?MSB0 LSB2
2 Unison (Digital) off/on
Is this a toggle for whether the partials can be altered independently or all 3 at once? My experimentation hasn't made this clear.

Re: JDXi List of MIDI CCs and NRPNs including undocumented
Attaching a pdf file with these details. I couldn't add it in the original post or edit it to add it later for some reason. (I hope this link works, I'm linking in 3 different ways) JD-Xi_Midi_CCs_and_NRPNs_Table.pdf Additional links in case the file doesn't attach: https://workdrive.zoho.com/file/7...

JDXi List of MIDI CCs and NRPNs including undocumented
Hi All, It took me forever to track down a ton of the undocumented (and documented) NRPNs for the Roland JD-Xi so I thought I'd share it along with most of the MIDI CCs I'm aware of. I left of the Program Change stuff although I still can't seem to use the info in the MIDI Impl guide to choose Tones...

Re: Sysex string for drum part levels
Hi, I know this post was from long ago but I'm working on something similar. I don't have the Sysex values specifically for controlling the level of each drum part but there are clear NRPNs for this in the Midi implementation guide. Perhaps you could either use these NRPNs or if you must have sysex ...
