I am using the same combination.. Better to have M3 as controller as you can take advantage of Karma.. else, Roland's keybed feel is the best than M3 as it feels plastikey...

I have SRX 04 & 06. still not happy with them while comparing them with the ones used in Indian film Industry.

So, I bought 2 sample CDz of Roland 760 format strings. They really do the job.. so I use them..than depending on internal tones..

I use a 4GB SD Card on a Acer PCMCIA adapter... SD cards are cheaper.. where same 4GB CF card costs $60+

As Compact Flash cards are fading off from market... you can find a PCMCIA SD card adapter and plug in a 4 or 8GB SD card..

This setup works for me fine..

Fantom got a sample converter program to convert S-700 disks to SVD files ??

Or use Yase converter to get them straight in to your fantom..

<r>Actually Fostex has a 2.1 monitoring system.. I checked all of them hooked to the Fantom X6 at the stores.. But I liked the sub of the Fostex where the PM 0.5 monitors were not impressive. Hence I tried different brands and combinations. Finally for the price I was happy with a pair of Event ALP5...

You can go for a pair of Event ALP5 monitors with a Fostex PM0.5 Subwoofer for your budget. I am using the above setup and very happy with it..

You cant expect to play the recorded patches as it is.. You need to use the filters, effects ..

simply copy any of the Roland's drum kit effect to your recorded patch and play.. should be able to get more punchy sounds
