Micro BR A to B markers

<t>I'm considering this thing for an idea box...does it let you mark a section of a tune and repeat it while recording on other tracks?<br/> ie, drums on Trk 1, looping between A to B<br/> keys or whatever on Trk 2, improvising over the drum "loop"<br/> <br/> is this possible? I did a quick lookat t...

SP 555: Does it chop?

I know that on the 606 it's possible to chop a sample into 16 slivers (or whatever). but at the store yesterday I couldn't figure out how to do this on the 555. anyone know if it's possible?

nice FX, at any rate.....

another Sonic Cell question

Does anyone know if the Sonic Cell effects structure is the same as in Fantom X -- ie, default effects in "Patch" mode don't automatically appear in "Performance" mode.

thanks in advance for any/all insights...

I hesitated on the XS

<t>because I was concerned about the "ease of use" factor<br/> <br/> it's a very deep keyboard (heck so is the fantom x I play, and ditto the korgs) and yet in my brief time demoing the thing I was able to navigate sounds/arps easily but could not unlock the secrets of either the pattern sequencer o...

Juno G Audio Track question....

<t>do the Audio Tracks in the Juno behave like they do in the fantom X?<br/> <br/> ie, can I capture a four-bar drum loop (from a sample CD, say), put that on Audio Track 1, and then build around that w/ both internal (MIDI) tracks and audio on trks 2-4? <br/> <br/> does everything lock tight w/ the...

OS update w/o usb???

<t>is it possible to do the OS update on the X7 just by transferring the data to the mem card at the computer, and then inserting the card into the card slot and following the rest of the update directions?<br/> seems like it should work, but I'm a little nervous about trying it...<br/> <br/> thanks...

Roland fantom series owner loyalty program??

<t>just wondering if anyone has heard whether Roland is planning (or has announced) any type of upgrade "deal" for current Fantom owners who want to purchase the Fantom X....I know this was discussed on the forum when the X was announced, and I know that Yamaha got good marks for doing this with the...

tine "buzz" on EP patches....

<t>I'm a newbie to roland synths, and just got the FS because I liked several of the EP sounds, both on the memory and in the SRX card. today, I noticed that when playing some of the patches (FS Rhodes, the SRX suitcase, etc) there's a lot of tine buzz and almost distortion on some notes, particular...

does the FS do this?

<t>was about to buy one the other day (pre NAMM) and hesitated for a minute. still might go for the FS, but I've been reading up and I still can't tell if it's possible to sample a 4-bar drum loop (from an external source) and then build a sequence (using on board or expansion board sounds) around i...
