Just about any workstation/sampler in existence can do this.

Re: Fantom G Multisamples or not?
Forgive my ignorance but you can still assign onboard samples to key ranges when creating a patch right?

Sampling from a digital mixer with the digital input
<r>Hi,

I want to sample (record a whole song actually) the digital output of a yamaha 01v mixer with a Fantom X6.

The sampling itself is not a problem but the recorded material plays back slower than the original.

Does this have something to do with sample rates? If ...

Re: arpeggio drum beats.. slightly off timing?
You should use input quantize when you record arpeggios/rhythm patterns into patterns.
Weird but true.
If you record without input quantize and look at the recorded data in the event list you can see the notes are a few ticks off.

"Please tell me this story."
I think he means that the 8000 was forbidden to be sold in the EU because of a lead solder that's not allowed here.

Re: so the fantom X is still the greatest?
"LFO insert effect (it doesn't modulate just pitch, frequency or amplitude like old LFOs, it actually modulates the effects parameters themselves!!)"
This can be done on the Fantom too via the mod matrix if I'm not mistaken.

I'd buy one without the sixteen audio tracks and SVGA if it had a modern file system
Maybe the MV successor will be presented at the NAMM?

Naming individual rhythm tones
In rhythm edit > general tab, the first parameter is 'rhythm tone name'. Here you can name the individual rhythm tones in a kit.
Is there any way to use the pads to do this? Like you would when naming a patch, performance, etc?

Sounds like some of the tones within the patch have a LFO assigned to them. The LFO1 and LFO2 screens are where you can turn them off.

1. Play better
2. Record into a pattern. You can put the pattern anywhere you want in a track.

Rhythm edit for patterns
I really like the way the rhythm editor works and I want to use that editor to record drum/bass patterns and not the step record editor of the performance mode. Is this possible?
