Weird, but after backing up my user data and performing a factory reset the static bursts disappeared. Thanks for your suggestions.

Static on Outputs 1,2 - very worried
<t>Hey all - about a week ago, I got a huge static burst with stereo outs from channel 1 and 2. I eliminated all amp/speaker/cable connections and still get it on a headphone plugged directly into Channel 1 (mono). Sometimes it goes away when I reboot the unit or change patches, but I sense it is ge...

Ebay
Also got mine in ebay from superaudiosales for $1600 - check for this seller if you can. There are several other reliable ones you can ID from their history. The thing was mint with all original factory pieces, latest OS. No store in my area could come close.

good b3, moog, etc
<t>The best way to get mellotron sounds out of your X is to sample them in and use the samples as your tones in your patch. Double them and slightly detune.<br/> <br/> If you search for tron samples, you will find several on the web, some for free. I did this for "Strawberry Fields" flutes and it so...

Re: Guess Who uses a Fantom???
From another genre - Ozric Tentacles used an X7 at Nearfest 2006 - they are a fairly prolific Space-Rock band with some trance and reggae (yep) and world influences mashed in.

Re: Loop Point getting me Loopy
just an update - maybe it will help others Just spoke to a very knowledgable Roland rep (eric) who told me that the fantom -x series sampler will not save embedded loop and other cues from a wav file. It may work with an aiff, but it not spec'd to do so. Loop points can be preserved by converting a...

Re: Loop Point getting me Loopy
The sample company sent me the file in .aiff and it looped seemlessly with all sample cue data appearing in the edit area - weird...I called Roland and they had no knowledge of my issue and could not offer any advice. The sample rep was perplexed as well.

Re: Loop Point getting me Loopy
<t>Hmm...thanks very much for your help. I will try to find a converter and then go that route. The sample I am using is a full church organ that is an extremely complex wave sampled 16 times over 8 octaves, so you can see my problem with doing the loop points by ear.<br/> <br/> The company that mad...

Loop Point getting me Loopy
<r>Greetings from Long Island everyone - recently purchased an X7 on ebay...my last keyboard purchase was an M1 (still use it), so as you can imagine I am experiencing a little bit of a learning curve here. I have my Tweak book, all my manuals, and everything is going smooth synth-wise but I am enco...

Re: Announcement: Fantom TweakBook 4 is available now!
<t>Greetings Artemio - my first purchase after my X7 was your tweak book - excellent content. One minor request though...some of us old burnouts are losing their visual acuity - so maybe a larger font would be helpful in the future! I love the keyboard and appreciate all the hard work you do here an...
