Re: VC cards loader
The Korg Oasis is about the only device I know of that actually gets updated and expanded...
One simple bit of software that would make the VariOS a "new" machine again:
- take the FX from V-Producer and rout the line in through these.

Re: Use VariOS Patches in V-Synth - more Patches!
<t>to try and answer a few of these in one go:<br/> <br/> - V-synth and VariOS share same processor.<br/> - I remember mr roland US (is his name Alan) saying the two VariOS emulations are earlier than the v-synth software version so the ones included with V-synth will sound better.<br/> - makes sens...

Re: How I update my Varios (version 1.00? to 1.07)
<t>It's a task most people only do once so we've all forgotten how. There's plenty of instructions around for upgrading to 1.07 etc... as far as I can tell and have seen from my own fiddling the system will just copy the version it's given. It literally just copies the whole thing to memory replacin...

Re: Varios question about the extra cards....
<t>One trick is (if your a windows user) is to install 2.5 to a folder i.e. during the install change the location for say "c:\program files\Roland\V Producer 2_5" then install version 3 to ""c:\program files\Roland\V Producer 3" It will go through the motions of removing 2.51 but it will still run....

Re: Varios question about the extra cards....
<t>1). no additional cards.<br/> 2). The VC`1 is a D50 - find some examples somewhere and have a listen. I find it a great work horse with an instantly familiar sound. Oh and if a friend ropes you into making a backing track for singing at a wedding it has more paddy pop love than you could ever nee...

Re: VariOS & Cubase SX3 Midi setup...
<t>It's been a while since I set up Cubase (I use Tracktion 2 now.)<br/> <br/> I found a simple way was to add a midi track outputting to the VariOS midi SYNC track. Don't send midi notes here - it's just a sync track.<br/> <br/> I think MTC is best to send to the VariOS as it will track back and fo...

Re: V-Cards - Downloadable?
It would take ten minutes for them to make a version of the VC-2 for example into a form that could be added to the RAM of a unit- exactly the same as the XT.
Excellent idea.

<t>The manual probably isn't as clear on this as it should be...<br/> <br/> To boot either from VariOS memory<br/> <br/> turn varios off.<br/> remove any PC cards/SD cards etc<br/> Locate the menu buttons on the front panel and the jog select/button knob.<br/> Hold all three of these down, keep held...
