Re: System 8 end of life???
It’s already an amazing synth. Doesn’t need any more updates, other than minor updates to the Mac/Windows driver for compatibility with OS updates.

Re: NKS ?
You can make your own NKS templates for any plugin that doesn’t directly support NKS if you just want to map all the controls. You just need to set it up once (which is pretty easy, though it does take time to decide how you want to group the controls into sections and pages) and save it as a preset...

Re: System 8 question about plug out and CPU power
The software does not control the hardware in real time. The best you can do is transfer the current patch to the hardware. This happens very quickly (takes less than a second). Unfortunately this "patch transfer" functionality is no longer working in V1.33 of the PLUG-OUT software and V1...

Re: Gearslutz.com
... It's funny that my TR-8S is not the 'real thing' for a lot of people because it's not analog. Now the RD-8 is being delivered I see people complaining that they can store their edited sounds, in essence they're complaining about it being analog. THIS. It reminds of a time I was trying to get so...

Re: What should I know before buying a JD-XA? (my first synt
And is running macOS Catalina going to affect anything? Roland was one of the first audio companies to update all their (current) products to work with Catalina. According to their compatibility page , the JD-XA has a Catalina-compatible driver. I don't have a JD-XA, but I have six other Roland dev...

Based on the description, I would not expect this update to address the behavior of poly chaining.

Re: "the file data is invalid" error in VST librarian
Do you have to be a cloud member to download the Jupiter 8 VST? Just wondering if I can get it so that I can at least save the Jupiter patches from my System 8. I have the System 8 VST but don't see a way to switch between plugouts, so I assume you need the actual VST. You can sign up for the free ...

Re: Interference is annoying!
Are you powering the devices with USB? Some people have found this introduces noise. If so, try using them on battery power. If that fixes the problem, but you still want to use USB power, you might need to try a different USB hub.

Re: System 8 question about plug out and CPU power
Thank you for clarifying. That narrows down what I want to purchase. Im looking for a piece of hardware with a vst Editor of sort.. I know it's stupid but it's how I like to work. Nah it's not stupid. There's no wrong way to work. I think the Access Virus TI might do what you're looking for. I can'...

Re: System 8 question about plug out and CPU power
You misunderstood me I do want to use the keyboard to control things in real-time but I also want to have the ability to use the vst as an editor. So my question is does it work in real time? Even make a change on the hardware does it react to the software The software does not control the hardware...

Re: System 8 question about plug out and CPU power
I'm thinking about purchasing a system 8, but before I buy it I want to know if I'm able to use the plug out option in the actual keyboard itself and use the vst part of it as a editor of sort..and at the same time conserve CPU power..my main interest for this is to conserve CPU power . I basically...

Re: JU-06A isn't visible on my MacBook
Do any of you have other Boutique drivers installed? I've got 3xJP-08 (I know, I know - a bit of a silly decision), 1xTR-09, 1xSE-02 and the Aria app customiser (the one that allows you to create different devices inside the effects units that they made a few years ago. I have a "Demora" ...

Re: Why the wait? Xm is available :-)
Thank you, Stormchild. I will wait for the X - though I do not like waiting! At least in this case we know it's coming and it's almost here. The worst is when you want to buy something but suspect there will be a new version of it soon. You could be waiting for months or years, knowing if you give ...
