Re: TR8S - missing song mode?
Indeed - I link together a D-05, SE-08, TR-08, TR-8s and a TB-03 - all of them have different working sequencers and song modes or not as the case may be - a pain in the arse to work out what goes with what from a song point of view...

Re: TR8S - missing song mode?
Hey Paul... something I find with Roland gear - you don't always get exactly what you want 'out of the box' but you can adapt, with a little work. Given that you have I believe 128 user patterns of 8 different bars each, that's 1024 different bars - you can chain these together - 16 lots of 8 bars t...

Re: Roland TR-09
/\ totally agree - if you need a fully fledged competent, cutting edge drum machine in your workflow, the TR-8 and 8s are better value than the Boutique drum machines. If, like me, you just want to own something which offers an authentic user experience matching the original icons, whilst looking a...

Re: Roland TR-09
To be honest, it's worth saving and getting the TR-8s - it does what the TR-09 does x 100 for less than twice the price... I bought a TR-08, then thought about the TR-09 but was seduced by the TR-8 - then found the lack of stored patterns limiting, and went for a TR-8s - the money is worth it for us...

Re: Roland TR-08 - volume control on back of unit not consis
Just to follow up - I sent the unit to Roland in Swansea, they put in a new board and sent it back inside a week.
It sounds better than new now, so I'm a very happy bunny, nice one Roland.

Cheers for the above - I wouldn't dare invalidate the warranty - I'll leave that to Roland/my dealer...cloudburst wrote:Looking at pics of the inside, it looks like it’s a through hole component that would be easy to replace - if you can find a source for the part.

Re: Got rid of my TR-8 and Brought a TR8S
As above, it's pretty intuitive once you get going - the number of menu items for each instrument are quite intimidating at first, but you need to take time to study and learn this: https://www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/tr-8s/owners_manuals/4f107329-63bd-4716-a11f-6f6eae280ac2/ Once you m...

Re: Roland TR-08 - volume control on back of unit not consis
Hi, I have the same issue on my SH01a which was manufactured in March 2018 (according to the date stamps on some of the casing components). I bought it in June 2018. I have to use a bit of tape on the volume knob (which is very loose) to keep the sound level up. Without this, the volume dips, but t...

Got one of these recently, perfect for the job, the jacks fit nice and snugly into the USB slots... https://myvolts.co.uk/product/35847/5-way_power_splitter_cable_for_Roland_Boutiques_by_myVolts_(5-way_splitter_PLUS_UK_PSU)?gclid=CjwKCAjwm-fkBRBBEiwA966fZFw9wF3Q22hnf5QXJmH5c8OEikFOo5qoT_PJVnwswWgAlm...

Roland TR-08 - volume control on back of unit not consistent
Hi all - my first post on here - I've collected the TB-03, TR-08, SE-02, D-05 and the TR-8s over the last year, loving them all... just one thing doesn't seem to work properly in my set-up, hope you can help. For some reason, when I play the TR-08 synced with the above, via a separate midi channel t...
