Re: D/A specs
A little digging and found out the Fantom-X has 24-bit S/PDIF I/O that the Juno-G doesn't, leading me to believe it's only 16-bit. I did find another spec sheet: https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/roland-juno-g-technical-specifications/ Audio Track Data Format 16-bit linear Sample Rate 44...
D/A specs
Anyone know the synth engine quialty? Is it 24bit 96kHz or is it the same as recording 16bit 44.1kHz?

Re: Sequencer deleting other tracks while recording new trac
It never happened to me. Thanks, it might just be something to do with me pushing buttons too fast. I know this synth inside and out and just fly through my songs in a very haphazard way. Record a few bars, screw up, hit undo, rewind back and start again. I never use punch-in. Sometimes I end up ba...

Re: Juno G - No output, no sound issue
I have had no sound sometimes on startup. Can hear just a tiny bit when cranked all the way up. Shut of and turn on has always fixed it. It's scary though.

Sequencer deleting other tracks while recording new track
So I think my Juno-G is sensing my eventual upgrade to a Yamaha MODX8. I've had a second time now recently where I already have a few tracks laid down in the sequencer and saved. Then I'm working on a new track and all of the sudden I notice either a big chunk of the song missing on all tracks or th...

Longest time your replacement screen has lasted
I just realized much I depend on my Juno-G. It's the single piece of gear I can't replace or do anything without. And that scares me a little. I had my screen replaced a little over a year ago and I use it at least 8 hours a week. I'm starting to notice ghosting on the graphics of the screen. Easies...

I have come as close as I can using a KingKorg. Re: Juno G outputs A and B
Yes, output B can send out audio if you assign tracks to those outs in the effects menu on the lower left (that's just from memory). You can hard pan 1 and 2 and then also 3 and 4 but you must assign 3 and 4.

Re: Control high hat open and close
Thanks but I already know how to use mute groups. That's not the problem. A mute group just controls the release of a sound by stopping it as soon as another key in the same group is pressed. Like monophonic voicing. What I'm trying to do is use a controller to get all the in between sounds of a hi-...

Re: Control high hat open and close
I might have figured this out although I don't know if it's ideal. The OM says for Hi-hat controling a pad will transmit 3 note numbers. 1 number for hitting pad while pedal depressed, another number when hitting pad by itself and a 3rd note when pedal is depressed without hitting the pad. Haven't t...

Re: Control high hat open and close
Trying to make sense of this from the SPD-11 OM: "The SPD-11 transmits movements of the Hi-hat Control Pedal as Control Change messages from another MIDI device, it's sound will be affected in the same way as when the pedal is moved." I don't think this helps me because it's talking about ...

Control high hat open and close
Hi, anyone know if it is possible to dynamically control the open and close of the high hat in a drum kit? I'm thinking either with D-Beam, pitch lever or... I have an old SPD-11 that works great for midi control but I haven't figured out how to get the foot pedal to control the high hat over midi. ...
