It could be this: On the back, there is apartment for battery. Battery cover has two screws. One of the screws work like security switch (it press switch inside), so if the screw is out, accordion will not start. Try to screw it in and then power on accordion.

I found out that there is about 55 Mb memory area for user samples. Very nice!
Roland did not specify this data, so I did an experiment, I load sample by sample until I get "Memory full" message.
