Re: TD-6V

If I got your problem right you should change a velocity curve on pads to exponential ("C"-shaped) and then to increase a sensitivity a bit.

Re: Which kit should I choose?

<t>I have purchased for my home studio a Roland TD-3KV set a year and a half ago, I have payed $1400 for kit + USB MIDI interface, and later I spent $50 for a kick pedal. I didn't like Yamaha DTX (non-expensive model) for it's cymbals can't be choked & sounds are plastic. Alesis DMs are just bra...

Re: Yamaha DTExplorer electronic drum kit with X8/ MIDI head

<t>Hi!<br/> <br/> I use X6 with a Roland TD-3KV drum set, and don't have any problems. I connect my drums via MIDI, switch to the performance mode, select channel 10 - and that's all. Hi-had pad is already set to hi-hat sound, snare pad - to snare and so on. I even use drums to trigger RPS patterns....

Re: Fantom vs. Motif - an easy choice

I don't wanna say anything bad ab'ut Motif ES, but imho Fantom X rules! Usually Yamaha makes best live sounds, like nylon guitar or grand piano, but not this time!!! :)

PCMCIA etc....

<t>Sorry if this topic has been discussed before... What about types of devices that can be connected to Fantom X PCMCIA slot? Manual stands for only SM and CF memory cards... Is it all? Can I, for example, use a PCMCIA IDE-adaptor for connecting to IDE HDD? Or PCMCIA-to-USB adaptor for using Memory...
