Re: Piano roll
I had a go at editing notes in-store and it works really well. Well enough that I bought a Fantom 6 there and then.

Re: Piano roll
This is excellent news! Now I just have to save up to get the Fantom as I bought a Quantum instead back when I first created this thread.
Really glad Roland listened/already had this planned.

Re: Piano roll
Yeah, I still find it incredible that they included a piano roll but did not give us any access to edit it. Yet, you can do this on the mc-707 and mc-101 which both share the same sound engine with the Fantom.

Anyone know of a decent carry case/bag for the MC707?

Re: Touch screen loose - moves from side to side
The F6 I’ve been trying out at my local store has an LCD screen the moves about a little bit.

Re: Piano roll
I had a play around with an MC707 which has the same sound engine as the Fantom and pretty much the same pattern concept. It struck me as a kind if desktop version of the Fantom with different controls and you can edit the notes on it so hopefully the teams will chat to each other and some code migr...

Re: Piano roll
Social media is a powerful thing. We just gotta make some noise. Nah, not really interested in unleashing my 12k followers on Roland, I'm not angry at them, it's their product, they can design it as they see fit. I'm just disappointed the piano roll editing turned out to be just deleting notes as t...

Re: Piano roll
We have a saying here at work: we can't accommodate everyone's feature requests first. What's more important to the engineering team? SN-A sounds, EP engine, Tonewheel organ, driver development, a purpose for the 3 USB host connections? Microscope event editing likely down the list. When we work on...

Re: Piano roll
The Roland Rep got back to me this morning and sadly it looks like this isn't going to be a feature of the Piano roll: I've had a word with the man in charge of these machines for the UK and he says that unfortunately what you want to do is not possible and is different from the older models in that...

Re: Piano roll
I suspect you’re right. I’m going to be giving a Roland rep a call tomorrow to find out.

Piano roll
I've watched a heap of videos on the new Fantom range and in one of them it was mentioned that you could edit your patterns in a piano roll. I tried it out today, went to a store, managed to create a pattern and when it was in the piano roll screen the only thing I could do was delete existing notes...

Midi device ID less than 17
I think I must be missing something? I can't set the midi device ID to anything lower than 17 on my system-8 - is there a way?

Sounds like a ground problem - which is why you are seeing the problem go away by plugging into a wall charger.

Aux on MX-1
I think I may be mis-understanding the Aux send and return on the MX-1... My initial understanding was that we could put external effects on the send-return and then dial in just how much of the channel we want to send to Aux. So, if you faded out a channel completely via the faders it would stop se...
