Re: System update for MX-1
It seems like, for the Aria line, everything other than the System-8 have been mothballed. This is disappointing because the MX-1 had a lot of promise, but a lot of issues. Aria link turned out to be a joke which never delivered on the promises.

Re: MX-1 USB passthrough?
Actually, the Roland driver (at least on MacOS) is smart enough for this to work. I've done plugout installs through the MX-1 just fine. Also, the Modular Customizer works through it as well (even though it doesn't get the port names in the selection screen). http://www.indievisible.org/Projects/mx1...

Re: Send Audio to Sccoper from MX-1 via USB
I've not been able to do this, and am deeply disappointed that it doesn't work. What I was told by Roland support is to use the AUX send (with RCA to 1/8th" plugs) to send the audio TO the Scooper, the return it over the USB. It works, but isn't pretty or the one-cable solution it was sold to b...

Re: Aux on MX-1
Yes, the send level is pre-fader. This means the fader has no effect on the send level.
You can adjust it. Select the channel(s). Hit the send button on the left side, turn the knob to adjust to taste.

Re: Demora Delay Time
I'm curious as to the patch you used, can you post a screen capture or the patch file?

Re: Demora Delay Time
That's very odd. I get 10 seconds from mine, 2 seconds is about "2 o'clock" on the main GRF.
If you bought it second-hand, try using the configurator software and loading in a blank patch. It may be patched in such a way that limits the delay time.

I use it without a problem. Are you sure both ends are set to the same clock-rate? You have to manually match them.

Re: MX-1 and DAW record issue
There isn't a way to record MFX individually without tracking each track out on the master. MFX only applies to the master-out, right before the mastering effects. I've not found a way to record BFX except on the master-out. There is a lot to like in the MX-1, but there is a lot missing. Most of wha...

Re: MX-1 set-up question before I buy
I send note data to my System-1 via the MX-1 all the time, same for my TB3. Each USB port shows up as a MIDI device (on OS X); just use that and make sure you've got the channel correct as well and it "just works." I see (and I'm doing this from memory) MX-1 MX-1 (ctl) MX-1 USB-1 MX-1 USB-...
