Re: first impressions
The only abnormal noise I hear is at 0:04, but I don't think it's coming from the keyboard. All the rest is normal. thx for checking, it might be hard to hear from the video but 5 black keys on my keyboard produce a ticking sound, all other keys do not. this sound comes and goes. so there's definit...

Re: first impressions
many thanks! regarding the audio crackle, just select the first pattern ( psrt? 001) and mute all tracks except 8. playback with headphones at 50 vol and press stop. you'll hear a crackle noise sound fading out for about a second. https://youtu.be/WQBc4Okynwc i admit it sounds worse than it actually...

first impressions
First impressions: great I love it, especially the keybed to piano sound connection and the palette of sounds. -however I noticed 4-5 black keys emit a subtle mechanical clicky noise when pressed, it's subtle really and only noticeable with volume at 0, it also doesn't affect playing. After pressing...

Re: Problems with EXT INPUT
Listen,it depends a lot on what type of istruments you are "merging" into JunoDs. I had a korg M50, it was a mess, a lot of noise, too high volume. Now I put a Casio PX5s, it's wonderful, no problem. So, definitely, it all matters on impedance. Thanks, I guess there is no way to change th...

Re: Juno Ds 61 and ipad.
Thanks Anotherscott for taking the time to reply to all my posts, it's much appreciated.
I've temporarily cancelled my order and decided to take a bit of time to digest all of this before committing to a new instrument. I'll attempt again in the fall.

Re: linear sequencer, midi from second keyboard
Sounds on the pads are not mixed down to a wav file or exported as a separate track wav AFAIK. Thanks for checking, obviously it's a bit hard as I'm working blind ( I don't own a roland as of yet), but doesn't it sound strange that you could put down a pad track but you couldn't author it nor expor...

Re: fa08 questions
the wav audio export doesn't record both audio produced by midi tracks and sampler together. presumably the same might be true about live audio coming from the line in. so you may need to record audio in to a pad first and play it back to record it. I'm not sure what you mean. If you play a sample ...

Re: juno ds88 as second keyboard noob questions
do the mod wheel and pitch bend send midi out as well? I'll need a mod wheel midi out in order to drive the Nord lead a1. Mod wheel and pitch bend do send out MIDI. Also I suppose the problem with the joystick is that the vertical axis is spring loaded so the mod wheel would work only for as long a...

Re: Juno Ds 61 and ipad.
I want to be able to control vst instruments with my DS61. I believe in windows it is possible. In ipad when it is connected via usb it is not...the Roland can't be used as a master keyboard. I have not tried it via the midi out with some kind of adapter yet. Yes, it does work with iPad vis USB. Th...

Re: fa08 questions
thanks for the thorough reply, I'm honestly not sure, from reading my post, what I was asking in my last point myself. sorry. In the end I opted for the Juno ds 88 happy Sunday funny the forum doesn't allow editing my old post. Just to follow up on this, I saw a review on Amazon. co.uk which specif...

Re: linear sequencer, midi from second keyboard
thanks, I get your workaround about sampling the 2nd keyboard on a pad and triggering it. With the internal seq, do you know if or was possible to record the ext input as it's being played back from the seq midi track when exporting wav files? it is very important in the purchase decision making to ...

linear sequencer, midi from second keyboard
do you know if the fa08 allowed recording and playing back a track on the internal sequencer coming from a second keyboard via midi and input ext?
and also record the combined internal and ext tracks to an audio file on the sdcard?
thx
Luca

Re: graded keybed?
I don't think either one of them is great. Kross is a lot lighter to carry around, though. I was looking at 61s, myself. The Roland beat the Kross 2 for me based mostly on better functionality for splits, and being able to change sounds without previous sounds cutting off. I also liked the sample l...

Re: switching between patterns on the fly: possible or not?
thx for getting back to me. To expand on this topic, how capable is the juno ds, when used as audio interface with a pc via usb, in conjunction with a daw software: could it be used to record a midi performance made out of me turning pads on and off? can I then play such performance back whilst reco...
