Re: Connecting Integra 7 to iPad.
The Integra can create it's own Wifi Ad-Hoc network, so you don't need to have a Wifi Network available, maybe that should do it:

Re: When will a System 8 replacement launch?
If you buy it used on ebay the chances are high you can sell it with little loss if a System 16 comes out. And if a new version comes along it will probably be even more expensive than a new System 8... I would love to see a more robust version as well. Like less plastic and a better keybed, but tha...

Re: iPad Editor versions question
As far as I know the only difference is, that the older version is 32bit and the newer one 64bit, which is required since IOS11 (??). I use both and see no difference. I wished they would have done the same for the Jupiter 80, instead they just dumped the App.

Re: Problems with Cakewalk by BandLab
Don't know Cakewalk either, but you mentioned Sonar and I saw software plugin to work with the Jupiter 80, maybe it works with the FA, too ? Might be worth a try... https://www.roland.com/us/products/jupiter-80/downloads/ "The "JUPITER-80 Control Surface Plug-in for SONAR" is compatib...

Re: System 8 - Poly Plugouts.
This discussion reminds me a lot of the whole hype around the Varios. I still use a pair of them, one running the D-50 emulation and one running the Varios-8 (sorta like a Jupiter 8). However, Roland at the time announced it as an "open platform", that would grow over time. Well... didn't...

Re: Should I buy a Jupiter 80 in 2017?
Understood. I don't have this issue because I use the USB MIDI from the JP80 and so I always have to select this in my DAW if I want to play a sound. What I like about that is exactly that you can play a sound on the JP80 that even when the part is turned off so it won't play from the JP80 keyboard.

Re: Should I buy a Jupiter 80 in 2017?
It is part of the registration settings, in the manual "Enabling the External Part Settings" "... In the Registration External Part screen (p 31), set the MIDI out Setting to “EXTERNAL ” If the MIDI Out Setting is set to INTERNAL, Parts that are turned on will transmit MIDI messages. ...

Re: MIDI learn?
Yes this is one of the caveats and I hope they fix it soon. I want to be able to change the patches via MIDI program change. Common Roland, this is an easy one. Especially with the SRX plugins, going through the sounds via mouse click is a real PITA.

Re: Should I buy a Jupiter 80 in 2017?
I use the Jupiter-80 as my main controller in my studio at the moment and the Jupiter-50 is used in my live rig. One thing that was mentioned is that the Jupiter-80 has 4 parts MIDI BUT to me not being able to turn off those MIDI channels is very, very ANNOYING. The Jupiter-80/50 I believe are best...

Re: What do you think will be the end of the Integra 7?
The latest synths in that category on their web page are from the FA Series I believe, and they state "inherited from the flagship INTEGRA-7". So what could come next? Improved samples, more voices, more ROM "slots" and a better patch memory strategy. I could imagine an Integra 8...

How did you connect it? AFAIK you need to connect it to the back via Apple Camera Kit, it does not work with a normal iPhone cable. And not in the front USB port. That is for WLAN and USB sticks...

Re: New firmware soon!
Oh come one... :) I suppose it is just one of those "accidental" teaser things that happen on the internet. Apple did it, Behringer did it... and I think Roland did it before, too. Would be great, just got my System 8..
