Re: Step Sequencer
Could you tell me what what difference of realtime sequencer against step sequencer? Thanks. Step sequencer - you enter notes step by step, the sequencer is "paused" and records every note or blank you select, when you press it. Realtime sequencer - it runs constantly and loops (on 2,4,8,...

Re: Future expansions for the TR-8
Not sure what you are getting at. This topic is not about free expansions. it's about future (paid) expansions or software updates. Right it seems as if Roland has abandoned the TR-8 since it has been a long time since there were any updates or news from Roland on the TR-8. But I hope I am not corr...

Hardware midi controller for JUNO DS
Anyone knows if it is possible to use an externeal midi controller (without a computer) to controll various functions of JUNO DS ? Juno DS has 4 knobs, which by default can be assigned to 12 different functions. I am very new to midi, but from what I red, JUNO DS receives midi and can be controlled ...

Hah, I forgot it is not possible to edit starting post after a while, so I cannot update it, anyway, the email will be sent to Roland's staff this weekend.

TR-8 on a stereo sum
I have all instruments sent to submixer (Mackie 802VLZ4) which sends the stereo sum to TR-8. Eventually the sum signal from TR-8 is compressed in the RNLA which goes out directly to PA: 3 SYNTHESIZERS >> SUB-MIXER >> TR-8 >> COMPRESSOR > stereo out http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/57640759/TOTHEAD...

Re: Is the USERBANK "empty" from factory?
it is empty - it is for the user to decide what to put in it. Just remember that if you change the AXIAL expansion, the DS will remove the previous sounds and add new ones. So if you used eg EXP-1 sounds in some pattern, when you switch to EXP-2, the previous sounds will mute, as they dissapear.

Re: FA08 or DS88 for Newer Player?
As far as I remember, FA-8 is tagged by Roland as workstation and Juno DS as ACB synth for live applications. To me, Juno DS is a less complicated younger brother of FA-8. I wonder if Ican say that Juno DS is simply a cheaper FA-8 with less flex... FA-8 has more pads, some samples are "supernat...

Re: New to keys - ongoing questions about my new Juno DS61
These are all basic functions described very well in the first few pages of the manual ;) Dive into the system menu (system settings), all things are pretty self explanatory there.

Re: Future expansions for the TR-8
I bumped recently to someone explaining how the tr-8 expansions work (sorry, got no link, so lets call it an assumption). All the sounds are already THERE. From 606 to 909. When you purchase the "expansion" on Roland website, you get a key, which unlocks certain features. I am afraid that ...

MX-1 odd tempo signatures?
I have a question to Aira MX-1 mixer users - can you set the sequencer to play only 7 steps, or 9 or basucally any between 1 and 16 ?

Re: I can´t believe this PART II. Save EXP not possible.
Yeah, it is a limitation which sucks. I heard FA-08 can use up to two. In case of JUNO DS however I simply build up my own patches very similair using the EXP sounds I had removed, switched. Basically you download one EXP and stick to it - you can treat it like sound palette for construction of your...

TB-3 Change or Edit the Effects
Quick shot - is it possible to change and/or edit the effetcts? Switch them to another sound bank or change the delay type, length etc. I know that there are some software TB-3 editing tools (the ones for $5) but I am not sure if it is the editor you should use together with a computer, which is not...
