Issues w Promars "Curiousity" and SH-2 "Space Aged" patches
Hi all, Has anyone tried the new Sound Banks for the Promars and SH-2? A couple of the patches sound like they're defective. They each have an arp function, and the arp sounds the first note you press, but the remaining notes sound like digital mush or a mess. Is it my download? Other than that, the...

Bug Using "Rotary 1" Leslie Effect
Hi everyone, I'm not sure how to contact Roland, so I thought I would make a note here about a bug on the VR09 using OS 1.12. Users have the option to select "Rotary Brake" while pushing the pitch bar forward (modulation). Rotary brake works ok when using the Rotary 2 and Rotary 3 speaker ...

Re: System 1 Banks on the Roland "Cloud"
(*Oh well - might as well answer my own question!) I did finally find all these sounds - they are the sound banks that are included with the VST Plug-in version of the System 1. That is, the virtual VST instrument System 1. They are not exclusive to Roland Cloud. So, if I want to have all these soun...

System 1 Banks on the Roland "Cloud"
Hi everyone, I was just watching a demonstration of the System 1 plug-out being used/played on the Roland Cloud. It was here I noticed in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32Wso8wY-fw ...that the presets drop-down shows 7 banks , and each bank has 48 sounds . Wow! That's way more than I ge...

Re: access presets on System 1
That is so unusual - I'm at a loss. if you are playing the System 1 keyboard (and the sound of the SH Plug out is coming out of the speakers) then we know the USB cable is working. It is taking you physically playing the keyboard and making the SH sound. But, at the same time, you are not seeing any...

Re: access presets on System 1
If you press the keys on the system 1 keyboard, does the SH01 plug-out "sound" from your computer? If not, your System 1 is not connected properly.
If the Plug -out "sounds", or responds , then everything should work. I'm having trouble undrstanding your post...

Re: access presets on System 1
Hmm. .....if your computer isn't recognizing the keystrokes and knob-turns then your System 1 is not connected properly. You'll have to figure that out. Make sure you read my earlier posts about assigning MIDI in your host. You'll have to sort that out first, because you can't plug-out your SH02 unl...

Re: access presets on System 1
We're glad you got it working :) -once I turn off the System 1 , will the PLUG OUT remain IN the unit or must I re-load each time? The Plug Out now is in your System 1, you do not have to re-load it. - how do I access the full range of presets? Hold the button called "Plug-Out" on your Sys...

Re: access presets on System 1
Actually, if I understand that you have selected your System 1 as both "wave" (sound) and Midi, then the sound will be coming out of your System 1 outputs and headphone jack. So you are connected to your computer via USB? Do the above steps to open the Sh02 screen, and make sure you have t...

Re: access presets on System 1
Ok - you're in the ballpark. It's very hard for me to guide you, it's too bad I am not there beside you. We could get this thing going in about 1 minute! :) Ok, when you see all those weird keyboards pasted all over VST host, you've just enlarged the SH02 icon too much. Try to shrink it down to a us...

Re: access presets on System 1
(Here's a copy of what a wrote much earlier in this post:) 1) Make sure your System 1 keyboard is plugged into your computer. 2) Make sure you know the location of the downloaded SH02 Plug in on your computer. 3) Start the "VST Host" program. Click on the word "Devices" and then ...

Re: access presets on System 1
I have to ask a couple of questions first: - Can you play the SH02 Plug-out with your System 1 keyboard? Hear all the new sounds and patches? - Did you follow the steps earlier so that VSTHost is recognizing your System 1 keyboard as the MIDI controller? If you cannot get your System 1 controller to...

Re: access presets on System 1
What you downloaded is the installer from Roland. If you watched it carefully when it was installing, it does mention where the SH02 Plug in was being installed on your computer. By default, the locations are: C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstplugins\Roland\SH-2 or C:\Program Files\Vstplugins\Roland\SH-2 L...

Re: access presets on System 1
Hmmm.... What is the extension of the file you got from Roland? What is at the end of the SH02 file?
(Is it an .exe, or .rar, or .dll, or .zip) etc etc...?
