Re: Tr-09 Prices
I’ve been keeping my eyes out for a used tr-09. Prices seem to be getting nuts. The cheapest I can find is $550. I wish they’d release another run of these. Anyone know if they will? Thats insane, and there's no reason for it other than collectablity. A second hand TR8 or new TR8S will give you EXA...

Re: TR-06
Interesting. Now we know the real reason the TR8 expansion pack was killed off.
So this leaves an elephant sized hole in the boutique range starting with a 7 and ending with a 7
Anyone see this also?

Re: 7x7-TR8 expansion EOL by end of August
WTF!?! I never knew anything about this and was intending to buy this expansion. This is pure bullshit by Roland, how can you discontinue a software download with such little warning? So disappointed by Roland on this, will definitely consider looking at other manufacturers moving forward. This is s...

Re: Tr-09 + tr-727/707
Seems overcomplicated to me. Couldn't you just buy a TR8 and buy the 707/727 expansion pack? Original 707s go for roughly the same money as a TR8 and is essentially just a sampled drum machine. Don't get me wrong, I can understand why you would want an original. I've got one and I can tell you it is...

Re: Best mixer for chained Boutiques?
The USB channels are OK on the MX1 but the 4 mono channels and the stereo 3.5mm channel is noisy IMO. I'm yet to find a way around this. My Yamaha Reface is practically unusable through the MX1 because of the noise. One of the MX1's shortcomings I think. Don't forget you'll need a splitter if you wa...

Re: New Boutique Synth RUMORS?
I'd put money on something like a TR07 (707 + 727)
Huge interest in those machines nowadays, with the whole Chicago house revival going on. Would be very surprised if they don't develop them.
How about the CR78? or 606?

Re: AIRA Eurorack FX Modules - with MX-1
Thanks for you responses chaps. I think you might be right about the cable I did think the splitter might cause an issue. I tend to have my TR8 volume on max with no gain on the MX1, this channel seems to be good. The Scooper is also on max since the input signal seems to be very low. My Yamaha CP R...

Re: AIRA Eurorack FX Modules - with MX-1
Do you ever find the Scooper to be excessively noisy? In fact I'm trying to work out what is the worst peice of kit that I own, and it's choice between this little shitbox of grief or the MX1. Both are incredibly noisey whooshwhooshwhoosh etc etc I'm yet to find a way to record into the Scooper succ...

Re: Using the MX1 to transfer SysEx files
All sorted, I was over complicating things. In the end I just used a USB to MIDI cable to restore the factory sounds. Word of advice for anyone else doing this, don't bother using MIDIOX or BOME SENDSX on the PC, it's an absolute nightmare. I spent a whole day trying to send the MIDI data to the M1 ...

Using the MX1 to transfer SysEx files
Hi all I want to use the MX1 as a MIDI interface, to restore some old sounds (SysEX files) back onto an old synth. Basically it will be the link between my Mac and the synth Thing is, could the SysEx files corrupt any presets on the MX1? I basically want to write the files to the synth and not the M...

Re: MX-1 FX - 3 Part Series
Yer I just changed my mixer out to a Roland M-480 48 mono/24 stereo input analogue line mixer (the rack mountable analog mixer not the digital one with the same name) but I'll be using one of the six (yes 6!) fx send returns to go to the MX-1 and use an analogue channel in stereo for sequenced FX. ...

Re: MX-1 FX - 3 Part Series
Don't forget for each effect there are like 7 variations, and you can use all different variants within 1 beat (don't just have to specify delay 1, or scatter 7 for a whole sequence, you can use delay 1, then delay 2 on step 5 or whatever). Good to know. After having a good play around with mine, I...
Re: TR-8S
Looks amazing - wonder if they've got an update for the MX-1 in the works? The TR-8S really does seem to capture a lot of the feature requests I've seen on-line. Would be awesome to see a similar response on the MX-1. Yeh probably an MX1S with four bus powered USBs!! Pity they couldn't have done th...

Re: SH01A What a little box of fun!!
It is a great little synth, isn't it? Like you, I've had instant fun with mine (Blue!). Does it sing well with your JU? (I sort of wish I'd landed one of those, but I missed the boat, and they are now out of my pricerange.) I have not tried to emulate other keyboard sounds on the SH-01A, but have b...
