Re: Grand Pno DS
I've read that Roland's sampled grand piano sounds are from a Steinway, but I don't think Roland has ever definitively released that information themselves. I’d be wondering, what they did with the JV “piano” sample, that it’s not much like a Steinway but neither a piano. :D (But really! How can th...

Win 10 usb midi driver for Roland G70?
Hello,
My father's G70 gear worked well with win 7, but our new notebook uses win 10.
I searched usb midi driver for it, but only found to win 8.
Can it thinkable that is there any way to a workable w10 driver?
Thanks!

Re: How to organize part groups on DS?
As I mentioned, I didn’t understand Roland’s concept at first... So, not the KBD PART ON / OFF function should be used to create independent groups for performance like at DUAL or SPLIT mode buttons. The LEVEL / CH screen page contains the RxCh parameter which allows you to select midi channels on p...

Re: 4 knob anomaly?
All right! Now I found it simply. :) So, if we switch to part 5 with pad buttons, the 4 knob function will change to 5-8 part... It's a good news. ;) I like this machine! Finally, the "levels of 4 tone in a patch" question: - press SHIFT and twist a knob to entry the knob parameters page -...

How to organize part groups on DS?
I had a Yamaha MX49 keyboard and it allowed parts to be grouped into same midi channels. So, groups could be formed with layers and various split and zone settings were also possible within a performance on 16 parts. For example: I created 4x4 parts combinations with an editor soft (Vycro). In the f...

Re: Juno DS76 pattern sequencer and split not possible?
Roland has the BK-3, BK-5, and E-A7 which I presume can do that sort of thing, though Korg and Yamaha are probably the bigger players in that field. The question of 30 style x 8 variation on J.DS: Well, 200 static rhythms were also known from RD pianos, with playback only mode. On the other hand, t...

Re: Juno DS76 pattern sequencer and split not possible?
Thinking about this, its absurd that Roland didn't include a way to create your own rhythm patterns... in Pattern Sequencer mode you can't use performances; only individual patches... Would it be possible to indicate these important deficiencies to the manufacturer in some way? Would it be possible...

Windows driver (to be or not to be?)
Hello, I installed Juno DS driver on my computer (os: win10). Some audio recorder soft can see the Juno DS driver name at input and output settings, but don't work (eg. NCH Soft - WavePad). The keyboard midi mode is: "vendor". By the way, my Cubase DAW runs with it petfectly. Does this dri...

4 knob anomaly?
For the 4 knobs function, the Juno DS user manual contains this on the page 22: [SHIFT]+[SELECT]: All three SELECT indicators (K) that indicate the control knob function will light, allowing you to use the four control knobs to adjust the volume of each part . Perform the same operation once again t...

Re: Patch edit - waveform selecting (no numeric mode???)
Okay and all right, but...! For example, if you want to search piano samples in PATCH EDIT mode, on the WAVE tab from the factory INS-A ROM, there are more than 2000 samples. It's rather difficult select a wave with +/- buttons and dial. I can’t believe the engineers or beta testers didn’t notice th...

Sorry, but no!
Ed explains and presents perf. mode patch selecting generally, not from wave selecting in patch (or tone) editing mode.
This is my question with numeric entering...

Patch edit - waveform selecting (no numeric mode???)
Hello!
I realized that numeric mode not works in patch editing.
Juno DS contains more 2000 samples. How can it be that it's not possible to select samples by numbers here, only with +/- buttons and the dial? It's very complicated, uncomfortable. :(
Is there any trick to this?
Thanks!

Re: Juno DS intrenal sample RAM size?
Hello!
Do anybody knows information from ROM size of Juno DS?
There is an Internal-A and Internal-B bank in the keyboard's ROM.
And I interested to, what can they have in common (GW8 - Juno Stage, Juno DS) in terms of factory waveforms?
Thanks!
