Happened to me too, but with the MC-707.

This collection is pretty awesome! The TB303 patches sound cool, essentially I now have a TB3 in the JD-XA, with envelopes, with effects, with an analog filter ... having fun :).

AFAIR, the first bank includes patches also found in other banks.

Check your MIDI Through settings on the JD-XA, and whether Ableton is sending back MIDI information to the JD-XA.

Why aren't they releasing something similar for the JD-XA?

Tracks 1-8 on the sequencer will NOT send out MIDI messages by default. To change this, go to the Menu --> Pattern Util --> Track settings, and set it to BOTH (or EXT, if you don't want the sequencer to send the note to the JD-XA synth engine). Yeah, my guess is that they leave some head room (volume level difference to 0 dB) after the amplified signal for the effects. I always put a Compressor or Equalizer on one of the two MFXs

Absolutely behind this! Also the notes stored in the sequencer should be able to trigger the arpeggiator (or am I missing a trick here?). Please see this as a request for suggested fixes & updates , not a gripe fest. I intend to rollup well-worded suggestions into a Change.Org petition to Roland...
