Re: Still a good buy?
Congratulations on the JP-50.
I've been buy synthesizers for 30+ years. So far, I pretty much love them all. My only regret is selling a few along the way. Like all endeavors, it's not the tool, it is what you do with it and does it make you happy and satisfied.

Re: Still a good buy?
I believe the following: I own the FA06, it a great playing keyboard, sounds great and operation is straight forward, but not my pick for sequencing. I use it primarily for electric piano (my favorite EP) and all kinds of layering/splits for live performance. I can configure studio sets on the fly a...

Re: Why did you buy an FA 6 ?
I bought the FA06 because I want one of every MFG's workstation (keyboard lust) not count all the non-workstation keyboards. The FA06 has become my primary live performance keyboard. It's easy to program and configure; splits and layers in seconds. It has a great collect of sounds. It is light weigh...

Re: Help please! Fa 06 Studio set.
Between playing lots of noted, layering, sustain pedal, multi-part set, voice reserve. It is posible to exceed the 128 voive maximum, which can lead to voice drop out, (notes stop sounding). Try reducing your active part selection, program a studio set with less parts. see the manual, search for &qu...

Nice, even the grey base color is nice, nicer than the shiny, scratchy, unreadable surface I current have.

Re: Good reasons for FA06 ?
The FA06 has become my primary keyboard for live performance. 1. The keyboard is light weight and easy to transport! 2. SuperNatural tones are pretty good and work well with live performance of most genres I tend to rotate the second keyboard for live performance. Motif XF6, JP80, Krome, Kronos, Kin...

Re: How to keep the glossy FA surface clean?
I bought the overlay for the JD-XA, excellent quality and just what the doctor order for my older eyes. Definitely, put me down for a set for FA06, and the JD-Xi. Right now I've got P-Touch lable on the the panels.

Improvements - needs better file handling, ipad editor.
Keeps - the analog/digital mix is great, a little expensive, but fun.

Re: Rhythm Patterns ONLY 20 User sets!!!
while not enough to have a complete library, there should be enough for most live performance settings, song are usually 3 to 20 minutes, should provide for an hour+ show.
Seems you need to divide your songs into sets.

Re: Additional keyboard/synth for my fa-08
When I perform with bands (3 of them), first keyboard is always the FA06, then I pair it up with the Korg Krome or a Yamaha Motif XF. When doing solo performance (home or Live) I tend to use the Kronos. I trying now to add the JD-XA into the performance mix. If there is enough room on stage, and my ...

Re: New Front Panel Overlay coming for JD-XA
Hey F5D, there are many photos on face book. The overlay stickers make the machine much easier to read, especially with my aging eyesight. I don't know what Roland was thinking, Red letters and a shiny black background. The sticks apply very easily, just peel, aim and apply. (don't push them down un...
