Re: Integra-7 USB Audio - Stereo only?
saw sonicstate's recent review of the boutique tr-8, which does offer 8 channel audio over usb. so roland can do it, but why they chose to do it on a relatively inexpensive drum machine and not their flagship sound module is beyond me. but this is all done in software so we can hope for a driver or ...

Re: Saving the studio set.
in the fa08 which has similar architecture you had to save patches before saving the studio set that used them. a real annoyance, but maybe there is a good reason for this.

Re: Roland do the lushest pads
Hey, thanks for checking it out. Did some synthwave stuff as well that you might enjoy, plus a couple of new tracks coming out during the weekend. cheers :) In answer to baz, I created the pattern myself and then played the performance in one take, whilst jamming over the pattern. No multi-tracking ...

Roland do the lushest pads
Quite amazed by the huge sound from this little synth. The supernatural va engine never fails to impress me, i enjoyed the same great sounds on my FA.

Re: A big miss? lack of knob modes
most synths with knobs have knob modes, my electribe for example: Jump: When you turn a knob, the parameter value jumps to the value indicated by the knob. This is a good setting to use when you're editing, since it's easy to detect the result of turning the knob. Catch: When you turn a knob, the pa...

USB audio sounds terrible, just me?
Hi, so many questions, from a new owner exploring the capabilities of this little synth. I thought that the USB audio feature would be a big convenience so I hooked up the XI to my DAW (Reaper) using USB ASIO audio drivers from Roland. LIstening to headphones connected to synth sounds great, but whe...

Re: LFO destination always pitch, what gives?
THIS GUY ^^^^^^^^ NAILED IT!!! Thanks, I should have figured it out, spent 2 hours or so without grasping that the depth was independent for each destination. YOu need to select pitch dest, set depth to 0, then select filter dest and adjust depth for that. Pretty powerful actually, although all dest...

A big miss? lack of knob modes
Hi guys, most gear i've owned has a choice of knob modes, one mode that immediately changes the sound as the knob is moved (can cause jumps), and another catch mode where you have to turn the knob until it reaches the current value (guarantees smooth changes). Now the XI only seems to have jump mode...

LFO destination always pitch, what gives?
Hi, wondering if my unit is faulty, or more likely I'm just missing something. Changing the LFO destination has no effect on the sound. The different LEDs light up, filter. amp, pitch, but the LFO is always modulating pitch which is rather annoying. just me? thx! Here's a demo: http://img.youtube.co...

Re: Roland D-50
sounds to me like you are sending the midi to the wrong port,or have not configured the d50 correctly.
i followed these steps to the letter and it worked perfect.

man, that is outstanding. Great work. #1 & #3 were really up my street. did you program these on the unit? i wish i had the patience and skill to write a song on one of these. I bought one a month ago but have only scratched the surface. It's a fab sounding retro machine. I did a pickup video an...

Re: Turning off the MFX?
i ran into this problem, i wanted an organ split (lower/upper) manual, WITHOUT the rotary leslie sim. I was frustrated that I had so create and store 2 new voices first without the effect, then create a new studio set with the split. 3 storages one a simple split!

Re: FA-06 Switching studio set smoothly
here's what you can do. use a studio set as a container for 16 of your chosen sounds. You can go up and down through the sounds using your front panel, maybe it's possible to do with the pedal too. when you switch sounds then they do not cutoff. The sounds on the FA are very rich, rarely do I need t...
