Very SERIOUS tuning and tone problems!!!
Recently, I was doing some recording in my studio, and thus, had just put my V on an existing keyboard stand. I was really starting to get worried about the health of the V Synth, as some of the oscillators seemed to be drifting erratically. Different amounts on different patches. The timbre of the ...
spdif????
Excuse my ignorance... I recently picked up a V, V.2 and am just in love with it. I am wondering how to get digital audio OUT of it, and into my Mac Bk Pro - the simplest and most cost effective way. Can someone suggest a S/PDIF (or perhaps a Coaxial audio) solution to deliver the highest quality by...

Re: First gig with my V
thanks for the insight. I just grabbed a PC card adapter and a CF card as well, for storage for keeping one of my specific projects (a theatre sound design gig) separate from my other audio. I appreciate you taking the time to write.

Re: First gig with my V
I was expecting to be able to shuttle audio (samples, etc.) back and forth using only USB, and nothing else. I don't seem to be able to transfer audio files from my mac (quad core, 16gb, MBP, running Yosemite) directly to the V Station. Maybe I'm missing some aspect of this concept. I've found it po...

Re: First gig with my V
Theres realy not any good reason to need drivers at all for the V. Midi can be done with a standard midi->usb cable usb storage mode is universal standard Both of these require no drivers and thats the full extent of the vsynths connectivity so drivers should not be an issues. I'm strugglig to effi...

Re: First gig with my V
Hello Daniel, As far as the differences between the synths - here's a quick overview... The Radias sounded great, and has lots of knobs for live modification, but I had some problems with some of the deeper levels of programming - the data entry knob seemed to skip or have errors. I suspect it just ...

First gig with my V
Played a little show the other night. Damn this is an amazing board! I only had a couple of weeks to prepare for the gig (a lot to do including prepping tracks and visuals). I spent a chunk of time dealing into this unit, to tailor some sounds and effects for live use - we're covering a lot of diffe...

Mac/V Synth issues
Hi, Just hooked up my V2 V Synth to my MBPro, (running 10.10.5) and having some problems. I have downloaded and installed the MIDI driver (from the Roland site link) and installed it, yet despite going through the manual and repeatedly tried to set up USB as a MIDI connection, I had no luck. Further...

Re: AUDIO
I have a variety of sound cards, but nothing with SPDIF. I am primarily using virtual instruments, so there is no other piece of gear that I suspect would come into play. (I change my recording set up quite frequently, and the only constant piece of gear would be a Roland HPD-20 Handsonic unit) I ha...
Broken?
Hey All, Just got my hands on the used V-Synth I bought recently. As far as I can tell, there are a couple of buttons on the main panel which aren't working properly. The octave UP button works fine, but not the octave DOWN, and I can't see another simple way to alter the current octave. Maybe some ...

AUDIO
Just picked up a V Synth, incredible deal, mint condition. Just wondering (without reading here for an hour) the best way to get a digital audio signal OUT of this machine, into my DAW. I see it has SPIF and coax, but not sure what to do with those. Any insight would be most helpful (over 30 years e...
