I use the AMP/ENV volume knob to mute un-mute drum parts. That is the only way for now. First off make sure you have the latest operating system installed, you can check by going to the far right of the menu (to the best of my recollection) and look inside the "version" tab, if it's below 1.10 then you need to update it here: http://www.rolandus.com/support/by_product/jd-xi/u...

This is more a request for a feature, I really hope it gets heard. Really baffles me that the JD-Xi can do 1/24th notes in the arp, but you can't record them in the sequencer.
