Re: Export JD-XA programs into JSON or XML
The final goal is really just to see what all makes up a program. There are so many controls, and hidden menu items, that sometime I even forget what all I put into one of my own programs, let alone a factory program or something on Axial. I get your point. Having an editor is not necessary because...

Re: Export JD-XA programs into JSON or XML
The format of the raw data does not seem to make that very practicable, without a TON of trial/error to figure out a transliteration table from raw data to attribute/value pairs. What's the final goal, and is it worth it? The final goal is really just to see what all makes up a program. There are s...

Export JD-XA programs into JSON or XML
Does anyone know if there is a utility (or hack) to export JD-XA programs into JSON or XML, or some other human-readable format?

Re: Feature request: Programs having sex...
Oh, you'll get no disagreement from me about the astonishing flexibility afforded by the JD-XA and it's control panel. That's one of the top things that attracted me to it. The only reason I suggest this feature is that there have been times that I feel almost overwhelmed by it all, like a painter i...

Feature request: Programs having sex...
If they'd really like to beef up the librarian (or an eventual JD-XA editor), I'd love to see a feature where you could take 2 or more programs, give them different weights, and the application produces a bank of 16 new (child) programs where each of the parameters is randomly taken from one of the ...

Re: Part routing to effects
I've investigated further and it looks like the only on/off-able effect for each part is the "MFX" effect/doubleeffect. But all editing of MFX is done via the cumbersome menues. If any1 has managed to turn off TFX for separate parts, please post. I even tried connecting both L/R main outs...

Re: Sequencer Q
Yeah, I assume you'd have to play A before reactivating step 1 so that it knows what note you want there. Since the last note you played was D, it's applying that note at whatever step you're activating, 1, 9, 13, etc. just as if you were programming that step for the first time.

Re: Hidden SHIFT key options
Is there a hidden SHIFT key option to turn the Legato switch off? I find myself often wanting to do this, and would rather not menu dive to do it.

Re: Free sounds for JD-XA from Axial - Nick Rhodes collectio
There are twelve programs (patches) in this collection. Most collections will have a little soundcloud clip to hear a sample of them. Not sure why they didn't build one for this. Never mind. The patches sound great. It's worth listening to on your own JD-XA.

Re: New here, need help with some issues.
On specifying a bar for step recording, try holding down the "Shift" key. You'll see the 01-04 buttons lit. One will be green. That one corresponds to the bar you're currently editing. While holding down "Shift" you can press one of the other 01-04 buttons to select a different b...

Re: Free sounds for JD-XA from Axial - Nick Rhodes collectio
Loving these patches. Especially #12. It reminds me a bit of the JD-XA's native patches B-2 and C-9 which are two of my favorites. How much fun can you have with B-2, C-9, and Rhodes-12 and messing around with the arpeggiator? That's a lovely afternoon right there.

JD-XA Arpeggio templates
I'm really digging the JD-XA's arpeggiator. Is anyone aware of the existence of a documented list of the various JD-XA arpeggio templates? I'm certainly not adverse to creating my own patterns, but if there's already a template that's similar, that could be nice. Plus, it could be helpful for inspir...

Re: Tip on Searching Waveforms
I've been playing around with my XA and found a neat little undocumented feature. When searching through the waveforms (Osc Variation), holding the + or - key down will scan through the list one at a time. If the SHIFT key is held down; the + and - will jump up or down the list 10 at a time. Makes ...

Re: Master Volume Question
Are you listening to the Analog Dry Out? If so, I don't think Master Volume affects that (but Amp level would). If I'm listening to Main Out (which includes both analog and digital), Master Volume will affect both.
