Re: All synth sounds have an echo
Sorry this happened to you. I can only imagine how stressful that was. I can only guess what happened based on how I know the FA works. You describe turning knobs and then saving. If you tweaked a knob that changed the effect (MFX) settings of the synth lead tone, and then saved the tone, your actio...

Re: Can I fast forward samples on the Pads?
You could chop the sample and then lay the chops out in series in the sequencer. Then you'd have all the benefits of the sequencer, such as transport controls and being able to loop sections for practice. I've done this by hand on other devices (1010 Music Blackbox) though not on the FA. I acknowled...

Re: Fa-07 VS Júpiter 50
Ambos suenan exactamente igual. La arquitectura de sonido Roland SuperNATURAL es idéntica en ambos teclados. Si el costo fuera el mismo, elegiría el modelo más nuevo, el FA-07. Tengo la versión de 61 teclas, el FA-06.

Re: Struggling New User - What is a studio set?
A Studio Set is a collection of sounds for a song. Roland uses the term “Tones” on the FA to refer to sounds — what other keyboards/keyboardists might call presets, patches, or instruments. So, a Studio Set is a collection of Tones for a song, with each Tone in a numbered slot called a Part. A live ...

Re: Velocity Range Upper to mute parts, reclaim polyphony
Why this? It is just put part as inactive and it won't count as polyphony! Thanks for the response. How do you make a part "inactive"? That term isn't mentioned in the manual. I'm sure you're right but I could not find a way to turn a part on and off besides muting. Please show me my stup...

Velocity Range Upper to mute parts, reclaim polyphony
Update: There is a better way: Use the Sw (Rx Switch) column in Part View . Original post: Note that this almost certainly won't solve the needs of a live performer. Background: As many forum posts have noted, mute is an audio-only function. If you mute a track, the sequenced notes — whether sequenc...

Re: Very unlikely.....but anyway
Do you own a step sequencer that you enjoy? You could sequence the FA drums with it via midi. To play your drum sequence in tandem with non-drum FA sequencer tracks, you could use midi sync to start and stop them together. Or when/if your drum sequence is finished, you could record the midi out of y...

Re: Importing Sounds to Play on Keyboard
I own the JD-Xi and you cannot use your own samples/multisamples in your patches. It has the same engine and limitations as the FA (which I also own).JKRolandFA wrote: ↑19:39, 8 June 2020 You can also do it on the JD-XI, strange why its not on the FA range as you mention.

Re: Roland Fantom Fa06 booting problem
OP, I'm sorry, I have no input other than you should probably focus on the SD card. Take it out and see if it can be read by a card reader in a computer. If not, you've probably lost things you've saved, but you can likely repair your keyboard by inserting a brand new SD card. Other options would be...

Roland added swing (called "Shuffle") with JD-Xi firmware 1.5.

Re: mute/unmute drum parts
The workaround I use most is to write the program to another slot (which makes a copy) and then erase the drum part I want to mute. I then switch between programs when playing the sequence to change parts. A more manual way that may be better for live performance would be to select the drum track, l...

Re: Roland will you make an editor?
It's interesting hearing different perspectives on this. When reviewers mentioned the "menu-diving" needed to operate the synth, I was concerned, but when I got the instrument, I found that the vast majority of the controls I use regularly (like filter sweeps and effect levels) have dedica...

Re: Is it possible to record live without quantization?
Johann, I use iPad apps to sequence my external midi equipment. Some midi sequencing apps I use are Auxy, Yamaha Mobile Music Sequencer, and MultitrackStudio. I actually have several more that I have not begun using yet. In general, iOS apps are much less expensive than equivalent PC or Mac software...
