Re: please an help for my tr8
There is no pattern chain feature. But each pattern slot has two alternate patterns (A & B) and the TR-8 can be set to automatically cycle between both of these. That's in the manual and you can see it done on various YouTube videos.

Re: Best way to connect everything?
It is true you loose your multichannel by routing the TR-8 digitally through the MX-1. Personally I don't do the discrete multichannel drum thing but I do host the TR-8 on the MX-1 USB hub and also run TR-8 assignable outs A & B to their own separate mono channels on the MX-1. That may still be ...

Re: TR 606 coming to the TR-8 7X7 Expansion
It's kind of like a 606+ with the addition of compression and other available tweaks offered by the TR-8 controls and effects. I really like it a lot.

Re: Which first
I haven't tried yet but in the MIDI implementation doc downloaded from the Roland site it indicates all available CCs are transmitted and received in both Mixer modes. There are quite a few so you'll probably want to go grab that and see if what you're looking for is in there. I'm currently having a...

Re: Which first
TR-8 is great but you already have a E2. I think you'll appreciate the interactivity you get with the MX-1. Had EMX1, ESX1 and E2. Miss it and looking for a Electribe Sampler now.

Re: MX-1 Aira USB ports not processing MIDI note messages
Nevermind I don't know how I glazed past that in the MIDI implementation chart. I guess I confused myself by setting the Din out to thru. No note data processed/relayed other than at the Din out when set to Thru. RTFM

MX-1 Aira USB ports not processing MIDI note messages
Am I correct in assuming that a MIDI controller/sequencer plugged into MIDI Din is only able to send MIDI clock to Aira devices plugged into the Aira-specific USB hub? Does the MX-1 relay any other incoming messages to those ports from Din? Currently I run additional MIDI Din from the controller to ...

Re: System-1m line output really loud...
I seems that maybe the settings in the oscillator mix might be too high. Do you know that 12 o'clock is nominal and > 12 is overdrive in the mixer section? If you use an oscilloscope you can see the waveforms distort about 2 o'clock or so. That might be why you have the loudness issue.

Maybe you accidentally adjusted the pan. Have you checked the settings?

Re: system 1m external audio input???
Yeah but you can max that out with a hot enough line level and still too low.jx3p wrote:from the system-1m manual:
"Use the MIXER [SUB OSC] knob to adjust the input level" and "If this jack is used, SUB OSC does not enter the MIXER"!

Mine too. Never really found an explanation for it. Wish there was some sort of gain control myself.

+1 yeeeeeah!
It's kinda creepy sometimes how exact it is and, in the context of emulating analog, it's kinda creepy sometimes how alive it behaves.
