Re: Control Change 7 volume - how to fade out
Hi. I can't tell you how to do it, but I can tell you how *not* to do it. You do not use Volume for fades, you use expression, which is CC11. Volumes are set at the start of a track and should most likely, not be changed at any time during the track. CC11 (expression) is set to 127 by default, so wh...

Re: next Axial download?
Unless they sit down and make something 100% unheard of before, I don't think there will be anything *but* new sample packs. Thankfully I guess I'm least bothered by this because I have little time to make my own samples, and little patients either, so letting others do the hard work is cool in my b...

Re: Trigger samples with pads question
Hi. I can only conclude there must be a way to do what you want, though I personally, don't know how. The reason I say that, is because having purchased the latest download from Axial, some of the samples are one-shot drums, and they play even if I don't hold them down. I can only suggest checking t...

Re: Using other DAWs
Hi. Midi's midi. Do whatever you like with whatever you like, as long as it supports midi. It's not the DAW that matters, it's the person using it and what they're capable of, isn't it? I use a DAW that I'd guess hardly anyone has ever heard of before, because it's not pretty, it's functional. It do...

Re: Is there something wrong with my keyboard??
Hi. In the first instance, probably part of the keyboard crashed. In the second instance when you were playing a lot of samples at once, you merely exceeded the polyphony allowance designated for samples. In the manual I believe it states a maximum of 8 at once, I personally take this to mean 8 mono...

Re: Making Screenshots possible ?
Wow, I sincerely hope it is. In this way, I could map out the entirety of the FA's menu system. As I'm totally blind, it would be advantageous to have this in an easy-to-refer-to document whenever I need to do something. If the image was clear enough, it would be simple to OCR it for later. I hope t...

This very forum has an attach file feature, does it not? That, to me, would be the most obvious and sensible option, but that's just me...

Re: Audio Input Noise
Record the noise if possible. I have a similar issue but not quite the same. I've connected my FA with balanced cables to my mixer and usb to my PC. Despite that, there's audible bus noise on the channel until I disconnect usb. Can't do that for very obvious reasons. Next I'll try a powered usb hub,...

Re: music: From A Fa
Below are a few things I've sequenced using QWS http://qws.andrelouis.com with sounds from the FA, and/or expansions as required. The first is something I put together on day 2 of owning it. I felt I had a reasonable handle on the sounds by that point, so I made this, which uses stock sounds, and at...

music: From A Fa
Hi. I thought perhaps of having a topic dedicated to any tracks or videos or podcasts people have made about, demonstrating, or purely with the FA. Obviously EXP boards and samples allowed, but what do people think? I won't just begin posting my few tracks in this first post, would like to get the l...

Re: next Axial download?
I shouldn't give up hope just yet. Years after SRX-03 and SRX-04 were released, Roland put out two refills for the Fantom-XR giving users another 128 patches for each board. It's possible they could do the same here. The same refill sounds could be offered as an .SVD file on Axial, it would probably...

.SMP files: Can they be converted to other formats?
Hello. Sorry, yet another blind person with the FA here, so my question may seem a bit strange but I'll ask it. Since the FA manual is... Well yeah, anyway. Beautiful weather we're having... Leaves a lot to be desired, I haven't found a sure-fire way of importing .wav samples to the pads right now, ...

Re: Why did you buy an FA 6 ?
I have 5 other synths I heavily rely on in my studio. Gigging with the Juno-G (which is one of the 5) was annoying, as it really didn't have the sounds I'd need during a gig, without an 8-minute bootup as it loaded a mere 200 MB of samples from the CF card at 0.0003X. Roland, fail! I had some beauti...

Re: Help loading Collections on FA06
What you're doing wrong is using the SD card for that. You need a USB drive formatted as FAT32 instead.
Repeat everything you did, but connecting a USB stick to the port on the back in place of the SD card, and you'll be just fine.

Re: Cannot set favourite tones
There is no trick to it, you're just not quite doing it right. 1. Find the tone to favourite. 2. Press favourite, then bank, then one of the 10 buttons you want to use as your first bank. This step is only necessary if you don't want to use the first bank on the keyboard right now. 3. *HOLD* down th...
