Re: Fantom w/ microkorg question
<t>Assuming that you have a Fantom keyboard and not a rack unit, yes it is possible to drive a micro Korg with the fantom sequencer. The micro Korg is a killer little synth for the price, but it is not multi-timbral. You can only sequence one voice at a time.<br/> As far as "is it better to sequence...

Re: Fantom X Milestone
<t>Sure bassman, I read you. My comment in Dia's other thread "is anyone this stupid" was only about playing the keyboard. Being a long time keyboardist and synthesist, I find that actually playing arps in some cases is much more creative simply because of the keyboard dynamics involved. I'm sure th...

Re: SYSEX dump of performance data possible?
Yeah, you can do that but you need to use the software editor to initiate the dump. Then export the data as a standard midi file to your outboard sequencer.

<t>Ok Diametro or whoever the hell you are. You must be a real assclown or something to make such an ignorant post.<br/> 15 note arps at 170bpm? HaHa!! Re: Is anybody else this stupid?
There is one thing that is definately more interesting and creative than using chord memory with arps. Arping chords realtime using the keyboard.

Re: hip/hop samples asking for Performance Help
<t>I don't see any problem in the way that you are creating your sequences on the Fantom. Whay exactly did tech support say was wrong with your method?<br/> Judging by your worlflow, I assume that you are using PT to record and mixdown audio? If your Fantom sequence is getting all out of whack when ...

Re: Recording from external sequencer
<t>stryder,<br/> Once your midi data is recorded in the Fantom, sure you can then change patches, effects, edit note data and a few other things. Most software sequencers can be set to slave to the Fantom sequencer. Check out the sync options in your software program. Once properly synced, it's just...

Re: Recording from external sequencer
Sure you can do that. Just sync the Fantom to your external sequencer and record away. I do it all the time but I have an X6.

<t>Thanks for your reply, lazzeeboy. I already did a bulk dump into Sonar 4, before I posted this. X6 sequencer and Sysex data?
<t>The X6 seems to be limited to 267 bytes of sysex data per track. The manual has very little info on this so I hope that someone here knows the answer.<br/> I'm using the sequencer to not only control the internal sound generator but also an Access Virus Ti. The Virus has a 16 track sound generato...
