Re: System 1 plug-puts and sound lib
I believe that the plug-outs are all connected to Roland Cloud now. I've been very happy with that product for years now, the plugins are top-notch and I bought a System-1m when I realized that I essentially own all plug-outs through my subscription, no additional cost. Before starting, make sure th...

MX-1 USB Compatibility List
Is there a compatibility list somewhere for the MX-1 mixer's USB ports? I have a System 1-M and TR-6S and would like to know before buying one if these are both compatible with the USB connection. I'm sure that owners of other current Roland products would like to know this as well, such as the TR-8...

Re: MVNation.com Registration never accepted?
There's an MV8800 group on Facebook that's reasonably active now: https://www.facebook.com/groups/135127596536965/ I generally hate facebook but there are some great groups there for older samplers (Roland, E-mu, and Akai) where the members are polite, kind, and helpful. If you're sick of all the na...

Re: MV-8000 hard drive to solid state drive?
I read somewhere that you need to set the IDE drive to master, and my SATA/IDE adapter wasn't configurable. The SATA hard drive didn't work either, but an old 80GB IDE notebook drive worked just fine. Note that you need to save the new default song after formatting the new drive, otherwise you'll ge...

Re: MV-8000 hard drive to solid state drive?
Ha! Just tried installing the SSD and was met with a "Disk not ready" error when I tried to format it. I have a 300GB SATA hard drive that I'm going to try tonight, though.

Re: MV-8000 hard drive to solid state drive?
I've tried registering for MVnation last month with no reply. I just picked up an MV8800 and would like to discuss more about it. There's a facebook group that has a decent amount of traffic on it. As for the SSD, I have a few SSD's that I'm thinking of installing, mainly for the noise reduction tho...

Re: Opinions: DI or not for JP50
There are times when running through a preamp might "sweeten" the sound due to the circuitry involved, and if you like it then why not? Lots of people are using guitar delays and reverbs (such as the excellent Strymon units), distortion/overdrive, and modulars to process synth sounds befor...

Re: MIDI Question
What exactly is the problem that you're seeing with the other registers?
