Re: Back from NAMM!

<t>Thanks, Jim, for the information. One follow-up question that your answer inspired:<br/> <br/> I think I've read from Artemo, that the v.2.0 waveset eliminated multisamples; if that's correct, are you hinting (or even hoping) that some of the 'new waveforms' that Japan is going to add before the ...

Re: Back from NAMM!

<t>Hi Jim,<br/> <br/> Since the GT is really 'Two V-Synths', could one of them be made to load the hybrid OS 1.51 (and waveROM) and the other, 2.0?<br/> <br/> More backwards thinking, i know, but I'm still SO stuck on some of my original programming. <br/> <br/> Thanks.<br/> Tommy Mandel<br/> <br/> ...

It's still double the RAM of the V-Synth Classic, isn't it?

Re: V-Synth (GT): is it multitimbral? polyphony?

<t>The other synths have more efx, because they NEED more. The V-Synth (and surely the V-Synth GT to come,) has a better sound, 24 bit, and Roland has really made the Elastic Synthesis sound amazing - so why cover that all up with efx. As you stated, we come from a tradition where you added the efx ...

Re: Chord puzzle

<t>I'm not at my V-Synth now : ( <br/> but<br/> I do know you have to change the type to Pattern,<br/> then clear what's already there,<br/> then, playing along with the click, hit as many notes of your chord on the downbeat, and when it loops around again, hit the rest of them, being sure to sustai...

Re: Chord puzzle

Why don't you use the arpeggiator: create the chord you want, and make it sustain through the entire 16 clicks, and make the speed (tempo) very slow?

Re: Just bought a V-synth yesterday!

<t>Well, I have my old V-Synth keyboard for v.1.51 sounds, which I find very playable, cool and funky, and pure too-with a VC-1, VC-2, AND the new VC-3 Virtual Neuronic interface that's being introduced at NAMM in January-AND I have an XT- for the version 2.00 beat coolness. <br/> Actually I'd tell ...

Re: How to transpose a zone?

i think you should save the Patch with its octave higher or lower on its own common pages, and then reinsert it in the zone.

Hollowcell-
Most excellent VC-2 card demo on SoundClick. The supersaws one too, had some sounds i'd never ever thought of, used in a creative way. Keep up the good work.

Re: What should the VC-3 be?

<t>I thought a sound *could* be made of different synthesis modes: you can have Osc 1 be Analog Modeling, and Osc. 2 be one of the PCM waves. They can go through the same COSM modules, or one go through each different COSM module. They do meet up at the TVA, true, unless you choose no TVA, and they ...

Re: VC-3??

<t>Speak and Spell sounds like fun, and I bet the V-Synth could be adapted with a VC-3 to do it, because of it's native Formant manipulation technology. Personally, I don't feel the need of a sample-playback (XV) type of addition, but maybe that's because I have one...And I love the analog implement...
