Re: Sampler limitations
Can somebody confirm if you can record from the audio input during the playback of a whole song (while listening to the internal fa engine) and then trigger the sample along the song like if it was an audio track (with it's limitations, obviously)?

Re: Sampler limitations
Can the sampler be routed to the sub outs and then use a cable to connect to inputs and resample with fx?

Re: A pitty there is no audio track recording!
I think you can record incoming audio as a sample and then trigger that sample through the sequencer. It basically works as an audio recorder/launcher. I think polyphony is 8 mono tracks/4 stereo, length depends on size of your sd card. What you cannot do is listen to other audio tracks/samples whil...

Re: Next EXP ?
Damn, was really hoping for symphonic strings or the orchestra srx. :( I agree. There's already plenty of key patches in the fa. Way to miss the point Roland. I'm starting to think they won't release the interesting srxs. Postponing a possible buy another month. Hopefully we'll be lucky next month.

Re: Next EXP ?
Supposedly it's one per month, though if they have them ready I think it would be better to release them already, since they are an added value to the keyboard to potential buyers. I know I wouldn't be looking at other workstations if they had already released the orchestral, strings and similar car...

Re: Sequencer question
Solitary Man, I checked those sound demos. Lots of sound design potential, specially with the flash card expansion and the 8 oscillators per voice. The moxf sounds very clean, maybe too much for me, and the drums seem a bit less punchy than the fa. Of course all this can be solved with fx. Functiona...

Re: Sequencer question
Thanks for the answers.
It seems the mofx has the same sequencer of the rm1x, which was one of the best hardware sequencers I've used.
I still have to check the quality of the internal synth compared to the fa's to see which one to buy.

Re: MOXF vs Roland FA06/08
Realjazz, you can create your own arp patterns in the fa by importing smf files or from a song created in the fa. Don't know about the sounds. I had feeling you could. Just was not sure. Are there user groups dedicated to sharing files or loops for Roland products? Sorry, if there are I don't know,...

Re: Sequencer question
I was going to buy the Roland Fa-08 until I found out it had a linear sequencer! The Fantom X has a fabulous sequencer, just so easy to get songs down etc but alas I needed to move forward as it's 11 years old now, though still a great workstation. Solitary man, does the moxf have pattern sequencer?

Re: Sequencer question
I recently watched the Sonicstate youtube video with Nick Batt and the guy from Roland UK. He was loop recording say a 4 bar loop and then sampling it. I take it there are 4x16 samples so is it possible to make all the patterns you want and then some how chain them together? He did say the quality ...
