As far as I can make out it's 64 samples in total. You'll have to load in a new 64 via a bulk select and shift function currently - and it's not that quick either. They look really cool. I've been using the D16 software emulations of the 808, 909, 606 and 303 and they are seriously good as well, especially when hooked up to an Ohm 64 for a bit of tactile control.

And am I correct in thinking that the first 64 of ROM from the X was based on the wave ROM of the Fantom S? I think I read that somewhere.

So the Sonic is kind of a Fantom S in a box?

Not that I'm complaining, I think it sounds great still.

I picked up a Fantom X6 2 weeks ago and a couple of SRX boards for just under £1200, looks like I got the timing right for once. ;0)
