Edit Compare
Hello people! Long time no post... :) I hope I'm not being stoopid, but I've been through the manual with the search tool and haven't come up with an answer. When editing a patch, Is there a way to compare the original version against what you're doing? I can't find it anywhere! Again, apologies if ...

Re: 64 Samples for each Scene?
As far as I can make out it's 64 samples in total. You'll have to load in a new 64 via a bulk select and shift function currently - and it's not that quick either. Here's hoping there'll be a multi-sampling feature that auto loads to the FLASH RAM on boot up if it's ever implemented. The sample load...

Re: Something's coming...
I hope the VP-03 will be ported next.

Re: What Is The "Roland" Typeface
<r>A bit of research last night and some comparing seems to suggest that it's a kind of custom Helvetica. A bit squashed and a bit fuller than traditional Helvetica. <br/> <br/> Basically, I have a custom white G6 and I wanted to get a set of transfers made or stickers to reattach the Roland logo to...

What Is The "Roland" Typeface
Bizarre question I know, but does anybody know what the Roland typeface is that's on the back of all the synths etc...

Re: Fantom G gets beaten up by Motif XS????
<t>I had an XS. I have to say that soundwise, I did really like it. I don't know it they've updated the OS since then, but at that time, you couldn't do seamless patch changes. I only like to have one keyboard onstage and for me that pretty much did for the XS as a stage synth as far as I was concer...

Re: Melting JD-800
<r>Hey Jessej, <br/> <br/> Thanks for the reply. Your point about LED pars is a very good one. I'd completely failed to take that into consideration.<br/> <br/> I spoke to an ex-Roland repair guy too and he seemed to think that the melting glue was limited to a small number of early JD's. This one w...

Re: TR-808 Hardware Clone
They look really cool. I've been using the D16 software emulations of the 808, 909, 606 and 303 and they are seriously good as well, especially when hooked up to an Ohm 64 for a bit of tactile control.

Melting JD-800
<r>Hello all, I've just given in to a massive retro moment and bought a mint JD-800 that I'm picking up tomorrow morning. <E>:-)</E><br/> <br/> I am planning on doing a small number of club gigs with it as I think it's just such a good looking synth, it'll add to the vibe of the nights very nicely. ...

Re: Fantom X compatibility
And am I correct in thinking that the first 64 of ROM from the X was based on the wave ROM of the Fantom S? I think I read that somewhere.
So the Sonic is kind of a Fantom S in a box?
Not that I'm complaining, I think it sounds great still.

<r>Aha, I see. You know everything don't you Artemiy! <E>;-)</E><br/> <br/> I had no idea it was half a wave bank down from the X. Interesting.<br/> <br/> I think the Fantom XR has the same spec as SonicCell then coz I couldn't find these sounds in that either when I had it.<br/> <br/> Thankfully I ...

Fantom X compatibility
<t>Just got SonicCell to replace my X6 mainly for space saving reasons. Love the RTAS editor too. <br/> <br/> But just going through the categories and presets, there seem to be some groups missing. Wasn't there a "motion synth" category on the X6? And some of the sounds are gone too like NuRnB Bass...
Re: WTF?!
Ah! Blimey.
I picked up a Fantom X6 2 weeks ago and a couple of SRX boards for just under £1200, looks like I got the timing right for once. ;0)
