Re: Integra and two midi-keyboards ?
This is exactly how I use my integra. I have 2 keyboards. A studiologic 88 key semi weighted piano action and a 61 key fantom x6. Both are hooked up via midi to to my Mac mini via motu interfaces. Mainstage is the brains that controls everything. I simply set up a concert template called integra 7. ...

Controller for integra 7
Just got my integra 7 last week. Really like the sounds. I am currently using my Fantom x6 as a controller. However I feel that a midi controller such as the 800pro may be better suited due to the faders and knobs. I assume Keybed action would be the trade off. What are you guys using and do you hav...

Re: upgrade to FA-06 from Fantom X6 - or not?
You might want to read the migrating from the fantom g thread about 20 posts below this one. Several others including myself give reasons why we would not replace a fantom x6 with an fa 06

Re: Migrating from Fantom G6 to FA-06
+1 to 'songbear's' post. Exactly what my situation was. Once I tested it out, No way I would change my X6 for the fa06. Instead I ended up picking up a couple of expansion boards off ebay for pretty good deals. Also picked up a nord electro to complement the X6 and I'm pretty happy with my decisions...

Re: Save Song (Caution)? Verified!! <--
Ok. So studio sets have to be saved for each song. Think I can deal with that.
Another question. Can the same preset tones (not user banks) be used in two different songs but with different parameters such as volumes, pans, offsets, etc
Thanks

Re: Save Song (Caution)? Verified!! <--
The patches are initially gm tones but the ones that don't get muted get replaced to whatever sound I can find closest to the original recording. So every song file would have to have its own studio set saved. I guess that's doable but just doesn't make sense to me. Would be nice if someone from rol...

Re: Save Song (Caution)? Verified!! <--
Must admit I am confused by what the issue is with this song save stuff in the fa. Really thinking about an fa06 to replace a fantom. One of my primary uses will be to play backing tracks. My Normal workflow is to either purchase or make a gm file. Put the file in sonar to do any edits of the arrang...

Re: any G users that switched to the FA?
Very interested in the replies to this as well. Keynes action would be deal breaker for me to upgrade from a fantom g to be fa. Has anyone compared the keybeds yet. My initial thought is that the fa will be closer to the Juno g in built quality. And that leaves more sorta undecided. Need to play one.

Re: DIY Repair on Fantom X6
Update. After digesting the good advice here and other forums. I decided to attempt to fix my fantom x6 myself. Ordered the part from roland for $119. Looked at a couple of YouTube videos. Also was fortunate enough to find the service manual online. Really took my time throughout the process. Lots o...

Re: DIY Repair on Fantom X6
thanks for the responses. I ordered the panel board 'A' yesterday for $119. Should have it in a week and will attempt the job being as careful as I can. Really want to save this board. My fantom X was kept in the SKB case that is known to cause issues with the pots. I purchased a different case also.

Re: DIY Repair on Fantom X6
I took the covers off the nobs and noticed there was a lot of crud in the pots. I first used a handheld vac to simply pull some of that dust out. Then I used 1 or two puffs of compressed air. The type in a can sold at Office Depot. I thought my problem was solved initially because my fantom was no l...

DIY Repair on Fantom X6
Hello everybody, this is my first time posting a question: I have a Fantom X6 that recently developed an issue. The realtime controls at first were acting strange (primarily making changes on their own), I attempted to clean them out, and now they do not work at all. Brought it to the local authoriz...
