Re: System Update Version 1.03
It sucks they will prob never add any new samples to it.. but being a rompler I can kinda understand that... what bugs me (and is silly) .. is that they don't encourage users (or companies) to make soundsets. Theres like a million awesome sounds you could make with the FA but no one else is encourag...

Re: System Update Version 1.03
Sure I wish Roland would offer more updates.. but a lot of design limitations are in hardware... I doubt they will every be able to add many features to the sampling (although that would be nice). Whats realisitic is start recording sample AND midi from midi clock start.. that would be awesome. I al...

Re: What's the best way to play along with songs from my pho
Theres a stereo input on the back of the FA .. use a mini stereo phono plug to plug your phone directly into it :) (It will mix it with its own sounds.)

Re: Effects
You can have more than 1 drum track.. that's prob want you want to do. Then you can put an individual MFX on each line of the drum track. There is also an option to use multi channel dynamics to one drum track .. but you can only put separate compression etc on each channel not different mfx. Every ...

Re: I lightened the hammers in the fa08
Different real pianos feel different.. even all the different roland types feel different and the difference between it and Yamaha and korg is is also significant. I wish they would rise a little faster as it is hard to do fast passages on the same note .. other than that I like the feel of the FA -...

Re: MIDI sequences on the FA06
It may be refereeing to sounds that don't exist on Roland FA?
Try after loading the midi file manually selecting sounds for each channel.. then when u hit play does it reset them all?

Record the pad mutes and unmute into the sequencer track for pads.

Re: Sound Difference...
1. The same internally but integra has more and higher quality outputs (24 bit not 16 bit) 2. Integra does FA does not (however there are custom made FA editors) 3. You can play 4 stereo samples at once (from 4 banks of 16 I think).. the samples have no effects and cannot be pitched.. useful for bac...

Re: Studio sets - newbie question
You can either set the pedals to be controlled at the studio set level or the patch level.. so you cant do what your thinking.. youll need to get 2 pedals and then tell it to use pedals at the studio level.

Re: Is there something wrong with my keyboard??
I haven't had it crashed and been using it since it came out. I use the midi sequencer a lot and the pads a lot.. but only the samples sometimes.
So far though no problems for me ever an di use it ever day.

Re: FA Editor
If you enable sending changes it sends out via sysex the commands when you use the on screen editor. (Sending sysex changes is off by default). Have you tried midi monitoring the FA (with sysex changes ON ) and see if it records anything.

Re: Sequencer in loop mode
The RC-505 is one of the very few audio loopers that can follow midi sync well.. however (maybe due to the amount of midi the FA-08 sends out (note bug in turning midi out off for channels)).. it does warble a bit. (Speed up and slow down to counter midi drift). I set the FA-08 to follow the RC-505 ...

Re: Roland SYSTEM-1 vs SN-S in FA
From what ive read SN-S is a very good sounding copy.. I imagine SYSTEM -1 is more an emulation (as that's what everyones doing this days)
the System-1 will sound better with long pitch bends and may support sync-mod or be more accurate with ring modulation.
