Re: Discontinued
I agree. I think we would have seen evidence of a successor by now, made from metal! I recently acquired an MS50 to go with my 70. I had a look at the RD2000, we're living in the plastic age. I think My Integra will probably be my last new Roland product, sadly. A Juno 6 was the furs in 1982. It's K...

Re: Ipad Integra editor
So, would it be correct to assume that once again, Roland have dropped support for their products?

Re: Jupiter 80 with Integra-7
Hello again,
I am not sure why you need to have 16 different sounds at once on the Integra unless you were going to create layers, also you may run out of polyphony.
How are you setting up the Jupiter to control the Integra and are you creating splits on it or layers, within the registration?

Re: Need your feedback on the JP-80
Positive - The sound and relatively easy to grasp architecture.
Negative - The lack of librarian
Keep - The build quality.
Best of luck with your survey!

Re: Buying JP 80 - selling XP30 ?
I went into Musicstore in Cologne last week and leafing through their printed catalogue, neither the JP80, 50 or Gaia featured, so it may be assumed that they are about to be discontinued. Consequently, there could be some bargains around.

I am curious as to what the available polyphony is when you layer up 12 patches on the XT

Re: v-synth vs vsynth gt sound wise ? any difference
Hello,
I have an XT and a GT and to my ears, the GT seems brighter, maybe it has better D to A converters or perhaps the effects are better.
I don't however, find myself preferring one over the other although, the GT has more functionality for what I want to do with it

Re: Buying JP 80 - selling XP30 ?
Hello, I own two JP80's and an Integra (controlled by an A90) and feel compelled to chip if you don't mind :-) I think you should keep the other manufacturer's products and rationalise the Roland gear. However, assuming you want a weighted controller, the RD has one of the best, if not the best weig...

Re: Buy Another Jupiter 80
Hello knolan and thank you for your advice. I think it's going to be the case of working with the Kronos' vocoder and comparing it with the XT/GT and seeing what works best. My ethos behind getting the Kronos is to strip back my live function band rig to just one keyboard that can cover most things ...

Re: Buy Another Jupiter 80
Interesting, thought provoking comments. I have always been a Roland fan from my Juno 6 and onwards, so the Kronos would see me straying onto the Korg path for the first time. I am going to try one out again on Monday, however, as I think has been discussed before on here somewhere, I will wonder ov...

Re: Buy Another Jupiter 80
Hello Cello Thanks for the advice. No, I am not daft enough to edit programmes in a live scenario on a Kronos any more than I would attempt live tone and layer editing on the JP80. The 1000 page manual is enough to put anybody off! My intention, as you correctly assume, would be to use the top level...

Re: Buy Another Jupiter 80
I have the distinct pleasure of owning two Jupiter 80s. One stays at home and the other is for live work. I am however, thinking of selling one and getting the big Kronos as I also use an A90 with an Integra but want something that's all in one box and easy to edit on the fly. Also, it would be inte...

Re: Jupiter 80 with Integra-7
You certainly can. You can save 256 of them and give each a relevant name. I would suggest you set the Integra to receive studio set programme changes to channel 16 then in the external part Of the registration create a programme change message and set the keyboard zone for that channel to zero. It'...
